Iceland £5 BBQ Packs

Jump to: Newest in thread

Normally we only by quality stuff for our BBQ, make our own kebabs bla bla bla, but the is weekend we thought, "Oh bugger it" and we bought a couple of Icelands £5 packs.

Now we didn't expect the best grub in the world for a fiver, but we had assumed it would be remotely edible.

Wrong !

If you ain't had one, take our advice - don't bother, they are minging, really minging

A couple of years ago Iceland did this roast from frozen chicken. The ads made it look quite good and someone told me it was quite tasty - I fell for it and bought one for Christmas dinner (was very ill and could hardly move never mind spend hours cooking as I normally do thats my defence and Im sticking to it lol) NEVER AGAIN!!

It was the most disgusting thing I have ever tried to eat - BUT I didnt learn my lesson!!

Last summer I got the BBQ pack for a mates BBQ, I have never seen so many people refuse food when they would normally eat their body weight in free food

This year I will stick to my butcher and get what I know is good food that will be eaten.

They have some good stuff, and those party packs that you take home to heat up and serve are quite edible, and not bad for the price!

I would rather go to Iceland than to pay stupid money to shop at M&S!

Lidl and Aldi do some really nice BBQ stuff - tried and tested and found to be good quality.

It seemed like such a good idea at the time, cos I was very ill and Steven couldnt cook then, I cooked it all and he ate it all lol nowt changed he still eats it all but now he has to cook it first!!

I was also brought up that "butchers are very expensive for the same stuff you get in farmfoods and iceland" erm not true my local butchers is very expensive but in the next town there is a great butchers and not expensive.

I am told by my family that the butchers we use is fantastic and we are never buying meat from Iceland ever ever ever again. I dont eat red meat but they do so I just buy what they like!!

I like my lidl

But I dont have a bbq so its not an option

Mind you when I had a garden, I would still rather cook the food in the kitchen
