I have been thinking for a little while now about having a boob job to help with a bit of confidence when wearing nice clothes as at the moment being a 32a makes me look very flat chested and having dropped from a size 14 back to a 8-10 i would love to have something to show off.
What are the pitfalls of having them done and what are the benefits apart from people looking when i bend over lol not a big job just maybe a couple of cups sizes i have in the past worn the fillets in evening dresses and must say it looks so much more sexier and fills me with an awful lot of "look at me" confidence xxx Lois xxx |

i used to have a girl friend who had had one, she had nothing but trouble with it, but also know of people who have been fine, if you think it would help you then go for it, but pick your surgon with care |

i had a friend have one...she was as flat as the proverbial ironing board and it was purely for her own self confidence she had it done.
like you, she wasnt greedy, asked for a b cup and looks and feels wonderful for it.
it has done wonders for her self esteem and she didn't go the route of being obsessed or greedy for more. i think it was helped by the fact she had a lot of counselling first...always beware if they dont offer that |

If I could see them I would no doubt tell you they were fine, I prefer smaller ones anyway.
I've known some people who've had it done, never had a feel mind   . One of them just said originally that she was getting it done to lift them back up after pregnancy, then sure enough she had another one, and had compications too which didn't sound fun by any means! |

research it carefully, speak to the clinic doin it and people who have had it done and make your mind up from there! if it makes YOU feel better go for it! its a sad sign but women do get judged on physical attributes etc but at the end of the day, if its for you then its all good x |

Thankyou for the advice and messages of support (no pun intended) on what could be a life changing thing for me to have done I have had a friend who had hers lifted and said its the best thing she ever done and must admit the look great even though she is still a bit bruised for now and the swelling is making them look bigger than they will be afterwards, but also know of someone who has had hers down to extreme measures and looks strange which is something i definately dont want as i dont have the body size to go with big boobs xxx Lois xxx |

Surgery is a dramatic step. You are best consulting your GP or other professionals who know your medical history and can give you the appropriate advice. |

I think it is good for you as it will boost your confidence, but research it wisely as I have seen many women with a boob job and while some feels very soft and natural, some can be very hard and do not look right, so make sure to have the job done in the right place!

As long as you do it for yourself.... my friend had hers done just over a year ago, went from an AA cup to a C- she's never looked back and I've seen her turn into a different person- not bad I might add :o)
As has been said before- as long as you research what you're doing properly, you should be fine. She went through Bupa. |

fake boob's look great my man love's them. but not 2big nice perky one's look fab. inplants dont just make them bigger but also give them great shape. choosing ur doctor should be ur biggest problem, but i'm sure england have good stantards. good luck hope it works out |

Beauty is definately in the eye of the beholder.If you do it is purely to boost your confience.Personally I find an A or B cup far sexier than anything else,small tits just do it for me,and false ones are a turn off.

check out the consultant's qualifications as a priority. they should be a FRCPS which is a fellow of royal college of plastic surgeons. it is always good to go by word of mouth, on recommendation of some one else who has had the same procedure as yourself with the same surgeon. possibly get an opinion of two consultants, no more - to see if they share the same views
the surgeon will measure you, weigh you take pics and explain clearly what he/she expects the results to look like. are you planning children etc. they will spend with you as much time as you like and there should be a specialist nurse in the consultation with you who will give you her number for any questions after the consultation.
i went to see a plastic surgeon a few years back after i lost a lot of weight and was considering a tummy tuck. i had an excellent consultant explaining the complications versus the pro's and cons. in the end, i didn't proceed because of the aftercare involved. i have since put weight back on but when i've lost it again, may consider it in the future. this for me is about how i look in clothes, feeling im having to hide behind what i wear.

I have had mail from someone who has put me in contact with a company this evening and couldnt believe how quickly things can get moving along the nearest to me is Cardiff and hopefully after a visit to my own G.P. this week i should be looking at as early as next week for an initial consultation  xxx Lois xxx |

I guess each to their own... but I prefer beauty as nature made you... you've lived so long with issue I guess so I'm not sure why in your 40's you'd now consider the need to change the you that people know and must surely love...
We're all individual I know but its nice to see that... please don't strive to be the same as everybody... how sad the world would be if we all went under the knife to roll off the surgeons bench looking the same?
And I sure implants don't last forever... you have to have them changed after 20 years or so?
So in my eyes... keep the beauty you have... have pride in yourself and wish others where like you and you not like others...
Its just a sad reflection of today that your selling yourself into the world of I aspire to be the same as everybody else... embrace yourself, smile and stand proud and be please with the beauty you have... I love women for who they are... not who they are plus implants?
Seriously I of course think that there is some underlying reason why you feel the need to change... I guess maybe if your honest you've been hurt by someone with some nasty comments... or its to get back at someone... by flashing your new found chest in their face... something just doesn't seem right about your self confidience issues... or not?
Flat chested 18 year old maybe I could understand? But you've clearly had a fun life and seem attarctive and confident... so why the need now at this stage in your life?
Sorry its only a view and yes I don't know you... but there are risk and dangers and things can go wrong... I'm sure your aware of all that side too...
But my vote is keep you as you... and the midlife crisis bit will pass... lol

OK let me begin ... in my 40's i have been through childbirth 6 times and quite frankly it has left me with hardly anything on top through breastfeeding etc and some of my best friends have said it would boost my self confidence to rekindle a little bit of my youth as i have been a full time mother for the last 23 years and am just getting round the the idea of a little bit of me time.
If for any reason i do need to have them changed after 20 years (if im still here that is) then that again will be a decision i would make.
I never aspire to be someone or something im not and for some of the people i have known and met either socially or through sites like this they will tell you that you get what you see.
There is certainly an underlying reason I WANT TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF and if you had read through my posts you could maybe understand a little better, i havent had any nasty comments in fact a lot of guys and women like smaller boobs and its also not to get back at someone.
Try being a flat chested 40+ yr old going out buying a whole new wardrobe because of weightloss and then when trying on a lovely cocktail dress only to find there is nothing there to help keep it up or going onto a beach with a child size bra on.
There are risks involved in everyday life even crossing the street involves that on a daily basis, try having a baby turned inside you before its born or womb infection or even a cesarian things which i have had and lived through and come through them.
This is by no means a midlife crisis, this is ME time and i hope i have it done and come through it once again smiling and think i look and feel great
P.S. Just for the record the answer will be a no as i dont want BIG TITS just something to make me feel once again like a woman xxx Lois xxx
