Went to sleep early on New Years Eve a normal happy couple.

By midday on New Year's Day, Mr Notts was in hospital. By the end of the day he knew he had a brain tumour. Now removed, but facing long treatment ahead and it's a nasty tumour that we're told will never go away.

Don't put off tomorrow what you would like to do today

The worrying thing was his symptoms were so slight. A few words he couldn't say and a few instances of numbness in his hand.

One thing I must say though, is major big praise to the NHS. They were fab throughout. Bearing in mind this was exactly the time when they were being slammed in the media, Mr Notts went through two A&E depts in minutes on New Year's Day.

Is stress stopping you eating beforehand? Could it be low blood sugar? Can you take a moment before you go in to breathe in to the count of 12 then out to the count of 12 a couple of times to slow your breathing down, also wear layers so that you can cool down if you need to. X

DEVIZES

My life turned on a sixpence one Friday night when my husband couldnt feel his hand or remember his words.

A day later he had been diagnosed with a GBM brain tumour and life changed forever and I knew what it was like to feel your blood run cold with every new piece of information.(thats where you feel like passing out)

The 6 weeks radiotherapy was not all that bad, he got a bit tired towards the end of the course and was not badly affected by the chemo, having to wake up, take the anti sickness drug, wait, take the temozolomide, then go for radiotherapy each day took a bit of keeping track but we managed.

Please get in touch if you want to talk or another experience

Gxx

So 6 months widowed and I thought I'd sign back into Fab to see what's occurring. So hello again
