Cheese on toast

My ex was a Philistine when it came to making this classic & would toast the bread in the toaster before bunging it under the grill with the cheese on

I did it the proper way- grill one side of the bread, turn over, add cheese & grill to a nice bubbly cheesy finish

Simpler still if you have the wider slotted toaster.

Lean it on it's side, insert loaded bread carefully and voila. Cheese on Toast. And,err, toaster.

I toast both sides....i like it crunchy not soggy....cheese and worcester sauce makes the bread soggy so it has to be toasted

At the risk of getting shunned , add a little marmite, there I said it. Should I await the wrath of the bareback marmite haters lol

Have tried black toastie bags which can hold two full slices of bread with the Filling inside and placed in the toaster Gets very warm that way so have to be careful when done but also works well if Done right..
