My ex was a Philistine when it came to making this classic & would toast the bread in the toaster before bunging it under the grill with the cheese on
I did it the proper way- grill one side of the bread, turn over, add cheese & grill to a nice bubbly cheesy finish  |

get a bowl, mix in grated cheese,a teaspoon of English mustard,an egg,tiny bit of milk,salt and pepper.toast one side,turn over spread cheese over and grill until bubbling.Enjoy with a cup of strong Nescafe  |

Have tried black toastie bags which can hold two full slices of bread with the Filling inside and placed in the toaster Gets very warm that way so have to be careful when done but also works well if Done right..  |
