Hey Y'all 
I was just curious about the swing scene in the US.
Living in the UK, more specifically London, I find that people on here (fab) have more experiences in clubs and private parties as well as one on one meets. Having looked at Americans on fab I see that they are a little more reserved and not so much about clubs, but rather one on one meets and very few at that. That's just my observation. Is the lifestyle different there? Please enlighten me on your thoughts.

Yea everyone for the most part here in the U.S. I think likes the idea but doesn't act on it, most people are uptight and secretive with there sex life. No one is really interested in meeting, your lucky to even get a message back from anyone here |

I think we should play the game of 'guess the state' - Alabama?
I did chat briefly with a guy in New York and he had never had a meet even though his profile and photos were top notch and he said people just don't meet. You can have secret sex in people's homes and.....not tell anyone! |

I see the clue is in the profile...Ohio.
We've had a few messages and pic fabs from the US. I've been intrigued as to how they stumbled across our profile in New York, California, Mississippi lol. We're yet to meet up with anyone yet other than for a social but it looks like a whole lot of fun.

We watched a u.s swingers documentary show last year, i couldnt tell you what channel but it was dreadful. There was about 4couples who would meet up briefly just so that they could all have a kick off with each other. Wife shouting at husband for looking at the other women and the men kicking off because there wife fancied another lol and then you had a lady feel guilty because it wasnt in the bible todo so lol it was a swingers nightmare.

In a way I can understand the bible guilt thing as Christianity (but often a warped form of it in my view) is drip-fed into Americans from birth to death!
I'm surprised and saddened to learn that there isn't a thriving swinging scene for those who want to partake though! You have oodles of space - so it wouldn't be difficult to have lots of discreet clubs dotted around every state ID have thought? C |

Here in Colorado there are a few swingers clubs in Denver, the biggest city, but I have the impression that they are for those who are financially middle class. Even if I could afford to go there I would probably not fit in with my provincial manners, etc, I think there is one private club in Denver that only accepts the "beautiful people". I've heard about 1 or 2 that arrange house parties but only for couples and single women. |

Part of the problem that highlights differences are the huge distances that can separate people in the USA. If you compare UK swingers who live in sparsely populated areas, such as the Highlands, with dense conurbation livers, the swinging experience is vastly different.
If you're near LA you've a fair bit of choice, compared to rural Montana, for example.
The USA is also more Christian outwardly than UK people are - this may shift what's deemed to be publicly acceptable.
I'm not actively involved with US swinging atm but have enjoyed some interaction. Also have chatted with a few US fab users.
There are also widely used sex meeting forums in the US that a wider cross section of people dip into as and when they fancy it. These potentially fractionate the swinging experience, so it can appear more ephemeral and less about sustained relationships imo. |

I'm going to Florida next March swinging my stiff shaft a bit while I'm over there...
I'm hoping to take a few less strokes before getting my balls in the holes though...... ..

Can only speak for ourselves but swinging is alive and well in the U.S. We just have to be willing to drive for meets. An average drive is an hour or two.
There are on site, off site, camping opportunities as well. Hotel & house parties.
Swing is fantastic fun wherever you are. |

Basically we get a lot more fun sex than the average American does. It's deep-rooted not in their culture to relax and enjoy life. They spend 99% of their time struggling to make a living, examining their pension plans, worrying about their health insurance etc.
We have probably tried a dozen US clubs and only found two that were up to European standards for fun - and they were ones in holiday places with lots of foreigners (or aliens as the Americans call us!)
And getting a couples date is close to impossible. |
