My mother is so wonderful, but she's getting worse.

Just been out for a coffee with her.

Told me such a long story about this couple and ended it with "they are going to try for a baby by hiv"

Then she asked me what day the boxing day meet was on and decided if I can wear miniskirts so can she. All in the space of an hour

I adore my mum - but she'll often tell me the same story three times in the space of an hour! Bless!!

My mum's incredibly tactless and she doesn't do subtlety.

A bit like her daughter, apparently.

My mum still has all her marbles, doesn't talk crap and lets us get on with our lives. She was never one for running people down or gossiping. She's a bit deaf though,so phoning her is futile.

And no way am I telling the story of what I did when I stayed at the kids. But involved a clothes thief, the police and the kids nearly carting me off to the funny farm

My mother is a hard women to get on with, she never listens to me (she is a bit deaf in all fairness but always been the same). She's a lovely grandmother but not so much as an actual mother, never gave hugs, only said she loves you when you said it to her. She's still

My mother though and I love her to bits x

Same with mine, I may have to tell her things a few times but was so starved of love as a child it rubbed off on her and then me (hugging is not something I do naturally) but she is still the person I ring up when I need someone to talk to, albeit a bit harsh with her reply but still!

Sounds like mine

The only time I ever heard her appologise to anyone was my daughter...on the plus side she often buys gifts instead.

That said she is very loving and we are a close huggy family

My mum was a gem, worked hard all her life was totally selfless never asked for anything. Her 2 loves were shopping ( for everyone but her) and knitting... I lost her 18 years ago and miss her every day

My mum was my best friend, pity I didn't realise that till it was too late. She passed away in 2007 and I miss her.

She used to come out hug absolute corkers, for example, watching snooker on TV she noticed the ref replacing the pink ball on the table. She opened up with the words "no bloody wonder that guy can't win when that bugger with the white gloves is sneaking the balls back on the table"!

Priceless

My mum died when I was 6.

My mums sister adopted me- I was very lucky.

Treasure them for everything they are- believe me when I say, I know how hard that can be.

I didn't talk to my adopted mother for 3 years once x

It's nice to hear such great stories.

I'm afraid mine just likes to make my life thoroughly miserable, she always has since I was a kid!

I'm much happier not being in contact with her now.

Have you seen the size of my arse

Then get told off for swearing

I remember the day she told me my niece was gay. She said that grand daughter of mine has turned into a lesbian like on the telly. !!
