Aww well, according the the Indian man who took my call at BT, "After the stabilization period, I will have 'Awesome' speeds"
Oh well, just another 7 days of pulling teeth and we shall see 
But for now, I'll make do with 720k - yes it's gone up a tad since I spoke to them pmsl |

There's a ton of speed checkers online. Just go to Google and type something along the lines of 'broadband speed check' and it'll throw up several different sites that test your speed.
I won't say they are 100% accurate, but they do give you a very good idea of what your speed actually is. It's also a good idea to check it at different times of the day too, as it will vary according to network loading |

Gotta love Vermin Media and cable... so much quicker than ADSL. Shame their TV sucks.
And they're supposed to be upgrading it to 100mbit per second soon-ish. That's like downloading a DVD in about 8 minutes!  |
