I love visiting regional flower and vegetable shows .......

I've loved it but also found the crowds offputting - that can make it excruciating when it's very hot too.
Whilst some garden ideas can scale up or down, I also would prefer show gardens that are more appropriate to the ordinary people. The designers' desire to win medals tends to create concepts that aren't achievable or affordable for enough people. Seeing it on T.V. I wasn't hugely impressed with many of them.

Yeah even though I'm of the persuasion where size does matter  ......
I really like that everyday folk can share their passion for all things gardening or baking cakes etc, without needing to break the bank trying to outdo each other......
I'm looking forward to our local events...  |
