Listening to some of the playbacks from radio 1's big weekend.

Must say some of the band's have been shocking.

We saw them at the Radio2 gig last year and really enjoyed them.

Saw Meatloaf at Monsters of Rock back in the '80s. He had laryngitis apparently, but would have been better off staying in bed, absolutely dire!

Black Eyed Peas about 10 years ago, luckily I didn't pay to see them.

No energy and just poor overall. Which was a shame because I liked their music. Though after seeing them live I just stopped listening to them all together.

As a veteran of over 50 of their gigs in venues from the back room of the Dublin Castle right up to arena gigs I'd disagree for the most part, although there have been times that their sound set up has smacked of not having received a great deal of attention (usually in arenas). The band themselves always put on a good show though especially now they've broken the habit of repeating the same set list every tour!
