Well I get on well with most so I guess they find me amenable. Think that makes some jealous though cos I do get the odd nasty which, incidentally, I have no compunction in dealing with. |

I think people are indifferent to me! I have no illusions that I am in any way popular or even that people think of me. I suppose that changes when I post on the forums and am tell it as I see it! Then I would imagine they just think "**********" (insert appropriate insult here  )

i expect mixed _iews. Those who know me and those that read the drivel i post on certain threads. None of us are how we present ourselfs in our profiles. Most hide behind the avitar and some of us are real. The good thing is it gives us chance to discover the other side in swing world and adds spice. thats about it for me. Wot do others think ? |

Those who know me well (or think they do) know that I am a very funny person who doesn't let nothing bother me even a refused shag

Honestly, I am not doing this as a 'poor me' comment, but I reckon some people new to the forums may be a bit down about the fact that there is a core group who always fill up each others posts, whereas the rest of the posts languish with very few replies. I've been around the forums for a while now so have got used to it, but people might take it personally if every post they make sinks with few replies. |

We seem to put the kiss of death on them, we checked how many "last posts" we'd made over a certain period some time back......we never realised it was that many.
Mind you, we only receive about maybe 3 or 4 mails a year too, good job we don't let it get to us or we'd be floating down the Humber.  ........

I suspect that those who talk about other members in PM have most of the answers to this question.
The truth is not everyone gets on and there is always one who will have the same opinion of a person and based on observation and a feeling of being able to trust their chosen confidante will make that first tentative step and write to state 'so and so was very rude on the forums today' and so it goes.
Little pockets of members in pm saying what they really feel. Reciprocated trust develops and those in pm will then go on to say they think such and such is a real good egg and they like what they have to say.
Then there are those who write directly in PM to say tp ther members I really like your opinions and the way you come across on the forums.
Then there are those who directly contact other members in PM to be insulting.
All in all nobody is ever going to tell the truth on open forum but there are an awful lot of opinions being bounced around pm. We all know this - its human nature and without it the forums would be absolute hell.
Decorum and restraint makes for a happy forum community. It just like real life isnt it?

Same here. I've posted on a daily basis for around 2yrs now, and although I have had PM's from other posters it's never been a note that couldn't have been published in open forum.

Oh its deffos not a loop - as I say separate little pockets with the boundaries set by those individuals indulging in it - just like real life is my only point. Without social manners no order would exist. Most observe etiquette as not to would be very very mean and hurtful to others. But some need to let off steam about their fellow man - which is human nature.

Plus - I just had a swift scan down the thread again and can only spot three posts who actually disagree with what a person has said about themselves. I can't find a single example of anyone saying what they think about anyone which just shows that etiquette is alive and kicking - thank goodness!
