Do you judge people on their behaviour or the behaviour you expect of them? Do you take the moral highground without allowing for the fact that people could have different standards or measures of acceptable behaviour?
Do you assume people feel the way you feel and should react in a similar way? Does it make you angry or upset if their response to a situation doesn't match yours?
Do you judge?

We all judge to a certain degree, it's impossible not to. However, I do like to think that I am extremely open minded and I do try to see points of views and reasons from the other persons perspective.
I have found over the years that some swingers can be some of the most judgemental people on the planet, which always amuses me.
Too many people are judgemental and try to force their opinions on others, and are only willing to look at life black and white. I really wish we were more of a 'live and let live' society. |

People judge,it part of the human ego. We might think our judgment is justified, personally I take people as I find them not on other people's opinion of them. We all have insecurities so to judge on them is seeing that insecurity in yourself |

I judge people all the time. Self preservation. I change my mind when new evidence is available. I may judge them negatively on one thing but my overall opinion of them may be positive.
I don't get angry or upset if we disagree. I make my point or say nothing depending on how I feel.
I ask questions to check my perception but I find that other people rarely bother. |

When I was a criminal defence lawyer , it was not uncommon for me to have clients who had tattoos saying "only God can judge me".
Given that they were often judged by a judge who sent them to prison, it was difficult to resist the urge to tell them their tattoo was incorrect. |

We all judge people - strangers, friends, colleagues or even some twonk who's just cut you up at a roundabout. In some respects it's a negative trait to have but, it's also a defence mechanism too in certain cases. |

I am definitely a judgeymcjudgepants. My moral compass is really important to me, and guides a lot of my decisions in life. That's *my* moral compass though, so will be different to other people's. I have no right to dictate how other people lead their lives, but I take full responsibility for deciding who warrants being in my life....and that involves me judging them by their actions. Kindness can never be overrated in my opinion. |

Of course I do, everyone does!
Every animal on this planet capable of creating and existing in a society, bases the structure of that society on judging the rest of the members in it. Be it a Rabbit, Monkey or Human. |

And as ice said before most people only have a problem when they are being judged negatively be that directly or indirectly.
No one ever gas an issue with being judged positively |

Not true. I can have an issue when people say positive comments about me, as do other people that I know. |

"Do you judge people on their behaviour or the behaviour you expect of them?" Thats pretty much the same thing. If there were no expectations, there would be no judgement.
.
"Do you take the moral highground without allowing for the fact that people could have different standards or measures of acceptable behaviour?" I judge people for having different standards and measures of acceptable behaviour. So do you, or you wouldn’t have posted the thread.
.
"Do you assume people feel the way you feel and should react in a similar way?" No. ‘The same way’ is not the same as ‘another acceptable way’.
.
"Does it make you angry or upset if their response to a situation doesn't match yours?" No. but it’s annoying if it’s not an acceptable standard (see above).
.
"Do you judge?" As others have said, it’s impossible not to. Look up ‘unconscious bias’. |

Don't judge very much. Everyone judges a little

I try to judge the behaviour, not the person. I think it is important to separate behaviour from identity, so I believe it is quite in order to say 'What you did there was wrong' but not 'You are evil and worthless'. |

I judge this to be an admirable attitude and one which I try to live by myself. |

We all judge. Sometimes correctly and sometimes wrongly. Open and shut case. You're welcome |

Agree wholeheartedly with this!
One thing that has surprised me the most on here is quite how narrow minded and judgemental a lot of people are!
They seem to think that what they do is the ‘right’ way to swing - and everyone else is wrong!
It upset me at first - now it just saddens me! X |

Yes. We all do.
It's how we ultimately form relationships and friendships. Just some folk are a bit more vocal about their judgeyness (is that even a word?)

I judge myself.
I occasionally raise a private eyebrow at how I perceive others, but that’s about as far as it goes.
I’m too old, too busy and too tired to flex more than an eyebrow. |

Thinking someone is cool, or sexy is just a positive judgement of them.
When people say "Don't judge me" or "Only god can judge me", what they really mean is "Only judge me positively".
I judge people. I don't take a high ground with them, but for example, I wont be having sex with someone who barebacks. |

We all judge, mostly unconsciously but I'd not expect people to be very similar to me. I'd be particularly bothered if people chose to behave in ways that harmed me and knew this but I can take reasoned decisions without judgement or just based on emotions. |
