Do you ever try any "tricks" to start conversations?
Like pretending you've spoken before, or asking if you can ask a question?
Maybe starting a forum thread then replying to people in private?
Do they ever work?
Does anyone ever let them slide if the profile is good or are they an automatic no? |

It's hard to even get a reply.
It's nice just to chat I guess the women on here are sent 100s of messages.

I had a guy mail me on here and said that he knew me from b4 when i was in here. I told him I was never here b4. He said that's funny you even came up on my kik list which means i gave your number. He then mailed me on kik |

Occasionally I get the pretence of "just want to ask a question" or variations on that theme. If they then try to make it into something more I'd generally knock them back. I find it creepy, and detest it anyway when people can't juat directly say what they mean/want. |

I think messages are about 3rd in the list before a conversation starts.
Most messages I send don’t get a reply (shock horror) even with various amount of effort put in.
I think people look at the profile and a photo before really even considering what the message says. |

I just send a nice pic of my cock (framed artistically against a sky remote control of course).
The technique is so efficacious that the female recipient is invariably rende_ed speechless (and ostensibly unable to type as well).
I’m as of yet unsure exactly how long this temporary paralysis lasts however but am sure that I’ll receive a reply as soon as it wears off.... |

We get the. "can I ask you a question" messages which always seem a bit strange.
Just ask your bloody question and if we're interested, we'll reply. |

As a couple who like meeting single this is our process.
1. Look at avater. If a cock pic delete.
2. Glance at message, if over crude or one line, delete
3. Look at profile pics. . If we don't find the guy physically attractive, delete.
4. Read profiles, if seems like we have little in common, delete
5. Read message properly. . At this stage there's a good chance we will reply and ask for a face pic.

Nope, don't find any trickery is needed - as someone else said most of the messages where I initiate conversations are off the back of forum threads of one kind of another.
On the very rare occasions (6 now in 18 months) that I message somebody completely cold based on liking their profile, I send a short polite and respectful message and so far have had 5 replies out of the six sent |

I always talked to people in forums first. Then pm if I felt more could be said.
Tbh when I was open to meets, I was pretty shy but that was purely a lack of confidence

I once got a good message but it was a cut n paste jobbie and they hadn’t bothe_ed to remove the other persons name which was a bit of a duff but I replied gleefully and said I’d changed my name to suit their message but I just got a block after that. Not as hot as they thought, eh? |

So ladies what is the best thing to put in a message on first contact?
I norm give name' details. What i look for and any thing picked up from their profile and add a face pic
Don't ask foe anything other than chat or social meet
But 9/10 get deleted without viewing |
