A couple of times I have heard singing and thought wow, what a voice.
When I've looked at her I thought damn.

shes just another person, im non musically minded, but she has talent...moreso than some of the other singers etc, she deserves her fame.I'd spend a day in her company rather han some of the up their own arse lot who think they are incredible and thats the likes of oasis,amy winehouse,pete doherty and a whole section of others who I just cant stand. |

I like Susan Boyle, musically its not my kind of music, but she is a talented lady. I do like her cover of Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence - good luck to her, hope she's managed appropriately and hopefully won't bring out a celebrity perfume  |

OK, so she's a bit different. But she was brave enough to get onstage in front of a huge audience and sing, something which would scare the shit out of most of her critics. And some people like her voice and 'ordinary woman made good' story.
I don't have any of her music, she has a decent voice and I can see how people might love it. But I am sick and tired of bullies and mean spirited people picking on her, sniping and making fun. Oh how hysterical it is when Graham Norton makes another ugly 'joke' about her. Give her a break instead of getting your cheap thrills picking on an easy target and praying for her downfall. |

I don't know her or have had any interaction so its impossible to say. Her singing doesn't do anything for me though but as a person the jury is still out.  |

She has a good voice. She hasnt had the best of lives and who could be grudge anyone with a talent being discovered. I think she looks stunning now in comparison to how she looked before and i hope she carries on really well and the pressure doesnt become her downfall |

I don't know her so I cannot like or dislike her personally. However, she has a wonderful voice and I have a lot of her music.
She has spent a lifetime making others happy by singing for no reward. I guess that should make her "likeable" in most peeps books.

just a down to earth lady who has done well,she really stuck it up those pricks on the judging panel when she started to sing on that tv talent show she was on,the judges thought "oh yeh!,give her the minute of fame!" but it was a picture to see the judges gasps of disbelief when she started to sing.

The way I see it:
Susan Boyle vs Cheryl Cole... Susan Wins.
Susan Boyle vs Amy Winehouse, Susan wins.
Susan Boyle vs edward.... Susan STILL wins.
She's shown nothing but pure talent and singing ability, irrespective of background, current situation in life, as well as looks and I always thought thats what these so called reality "talent" contests were suppose to be for.
Now if someone (Simon Cowell) thinks I've got it wrong and its more about looks and markettability than talent, then I have my answer why she's portrayed in the media as somethign to be snubbed at. |
