Do most women here get too many messages!

I for one love reading my messages but then again I'm not inundated with them. I've sent a few first time messages to a few different women, and it's been a few days and the message is still unread and they're active on the site? To the women of Fab, are you not bothered by new messages, or do you just have so many that you slowly work through them? |

I tend to look at the start of the message and the person's profile before deciding if it's enticing enough to open right away.
I also go through phases where I don't even look at my inbox, I just log on to browse the forums.
I'm not inundated because I use filters but I'm also in no rush to read messages straight away. |

Well weirdly enough I just got a message from a woman who gets only 30 a day on average and yet looks amazing so not sure why that is but in general it can be much much more

368 in the past few hours....Sometimes I can look through messages to get through them and they carry on building up as they see your online....I read and deleted them this afternoon and logged out only to come back on to hundreds waiting to be read again  |

I don't think it's just me....I'm sure other females get bombarded the same....It's hard as I like to speak to friends on here and chat in the forums....Then you get abusive messages if you don't reply....If I replied to all it would spoil my fun in here chatting to friends and stuff so it can get overwhelming  |

I can only imagine cause every time a new woman joins fabs it must be like bees to honey. I'm always polite and welcome them aboard but they never get read because too many idiots go straight for the jagular so to speak. |

I currently have 608 unopened. I am.not currently looking to meet so I can see which i want to open or not. I will often open them from couples or people I know.

It's not just fab where ladies get lots of messages. From what I've heard it's the same with all apps.
Awhile ago I downloaded a new app and I sent lots of messages but I didn't get any replies, none of them even got seen.
This went on for a week then I decided to do an experiment and I signed in with female gender and no pics or profile text.
Then almost immediately I started getting bombed with messages. What a difference! |

I know I sound like a broken record....however, if you get so many messages and the only way to deal with them is bulk delete, then what’s the point? Why not just put the filters fully up? |

I’ve over 1500 unopened at the min. There’s no way I can go through them.
I look at the headings especially when playing forum games.
But for me to open a random I need to see a face or at least one attaches and the first line interests me..... |

I bulk deleted last week and back up to 1130 in less than 6 days
I don’t like bulk frosting because I could be kidding some real gems but how can we possibly go through them all |

Save them when you've read them then delete the rest...
I usually find if someone wants to keep in touch they always messages again anyway... its far easier for a man to keep track of his messages lol |

When I’m looking to meet I get about 5 a day (excluding fab friends).
My filters do all the work for me. I couldn’t come with the volume I got when I first joined.
This means I can answer all my messages and have time to chat with people and read the forums. |

Yeah we get too many. I even have a lot of filters on. What would be useful is two categories of messages. Those from people you’ve messaged before and those who are totally new. |

Not sure you can tell it's been deleted without being read. Unread are yellow but never tested the theory of unread messages bring deleted |

I did not say there was any harm. There are generally in the region of 10+ a day. Mostly from those people, occasionally from those who have read the first five lines, very occasionally from those with good reading comprehension. |

So it seems its really just potluck and timing. Depends on whether the person you're messaging has only received a few messages on that particular day you might have a chance of being seen. |

How long are your first messages usually?
Often when men complain that a message hasn't been read, they are incorrect. If a message is less than 12 words maximum, you can read it without opening it. The entire message is visible in your inbox. You can even click on the sender's profile and have a look at that from your inbox without opening the message.
So instead of wrongly complaining that messages most go unread, perhaps more men should be thinking about why their message wasn't long enough or interesting enough to entice someone to open it |

My tuppence worth on messaging a lady is ( not that it's a fool proof way of getting a reply ) is to ask them a question totally away from the sexual area of here ...we all know the lady is here for sex...we all know she has her filters set for her specific reasons...we all know she's not gonna let everyone that Messages her on her ..but at the end of the day she is here and the one thing she deserves is complete 100% respect...yes she may love to fuck 40 ways from Sunday and totally adores getting cock but respect is something that should be given so it's my opinion that a ladies profile should always be read and just see if there's a little question you could ask her that she has brushed by on her profile,other than the Sexual scenario...IE..if she says a guy has to make her laugh..ask if she has seen such a comedy..if she's wearing a rock band t shirt in a photo..ask her what's her fav track from the band ...l'm only giving my tuppence worth on this cause l do believe that there are only so many sexual Messages a lady can tolerate in any given day .week ..or month ..before it just gets totally boring or monotonous for them... |

I reply to all first messages. My profile puts many off. A ridiculous amount of men think it's real.
And some gems understand it.
