This thread will be a bit niche.
I like hill walking but I also like a bit of scrambling too. Anyone else interested in this?
I’m thinking of another trip to Tryfan and Bristly ridge soon.
Where else is your favourite scramble? |

"Love scrambling Tryfan.. Cant beat a lil scrambling or bouldering as it is down here in Cornwall... Scrambling tryfan in snow n ice was fun "
I visit Cornwall quite a lot, coasteering is great fun. A mix of swimming and scrambling. |

Yeah its real popular, up until recently I was keen caver so would spend a lot of my time dangling off rocks, swimming headlands to get in cliff tunnels.. |

"Please define "scrambling" and "bouldering" in this context."
Scrambling is a cross between walking and easy rock climbing and generally no rope needed and bouldering is pretty extreme climbing but on a boulder close to the ground.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time caving too, mainly in the mendips and South Wales.
Are there many cave systems in Cornwall? I thought it was mostly granite? And cave systems are generally in limestone. |
