How do they differ I'm confused
On one thread I'm informed leagues do not exist , no one is better or worse and everyone will be desired deeply and above anyone else ,by at least one in the world
However on another thread im informed, leagues do exist as standards , and that some people are of a higher standard and others lower and low enough that a quality standard is not met

Standards are yours, about other people. You only want to meet people who are x and better. Personal preference.
Leagues are other's perception of you. So "no one looks at you in the street, _naswingdress, so you're not that great and shouldn't be fussy!" They're bullshit because people aren't attracted to one another in clear predictable ways.

Leagues do exist, message all the women on page one of hot pics and see how many replies you get, then message the local women in your area and see how many replies you get.

I never asked a friends sister out years ago because I thought I was out of her league, she's now married. She asked me some time ago why I never asked her out and when I told her she laughed at me. She told me something I've never forgotten, no one is any better than anyone else just some people are better suited than others but ultimately, if you don't ask or take chances you'll never know and will live with the regret. It's a lesson we all know already but I really regretted not asking her out lol

Surely that's more about numbers than leagues?
He messages 20 hot pics women and is one of thousands who have mailed then messages 300 locals who have maybe 30 messages that day.
It's not really a good indication,the locals may also be hotter than the hot pics girls. |

I have had a few messages from guys saying that I am way out of their league.....
On the other hand, I have had messages from guys who I look at and think..."they are way out of my league".
Let's face it, out in the 'real' world I don't get a second glance.
I guess it's fabs that makes the rules.
I think it's down to each person and their preferences.

I don't think there is such things as leagues. As a guy I find attractive someone else won't. Standards yes, there are qualities we look for and any guys we meet must have them. This is not necessarily about how they look or whether I find them attractive, this would be things like we don't meet smokers or people who are married. I wont change my mind on those things, you could have the best looking guy on here and we will say no if he is a smoker or lives on the other side of the country to us as he doest not meet our preferences.

Exactly. With regards to standards, we all have them but is there a need to shout about them? I know who I’d meet and who I wouldn’t and the reasons why. I wouldn’t say I’m not meeting because you don’t meet my standards for blah blah reason. I think some people make things complicated for themselves on here to be honest. |

It is a very conflicting concept.
Leagues, how I view it are a "measure" on how it would appear to those looking from the outside.
We all have done it, seen a couple and wondered why he/she is with him/her.
Standards are different yet play in to the same concept. You like what you like BUT fact is for the most part it comes down to how good looking somebody is, which in most cases is quite universal but not fully. |

A footballer is only worth as much as the club is willing to pay out.
The whole league thing, if you buy into it, is self perpetuating.
The 'beautiful people' who seem to exist on a higher plane than the rest of us may be aloof, unobtainable and capable of dictating their own terms. They still have to wipe their arse after taking a shit.
I sometimes get completely self critical and believe I am punching well above my weight, but as a wise friend said recently, when I acknowledge my own worth, I have so much to offer.
I'm not the fittest, vwe or stunningly handsome. I bring something else to the fab experience. Those who have met me, and they are stunners, like me for who I am. Once you free yourself from the shackles of expectation and the prison of perception, you are free to try your luck with anyone. You may be pleasantly surprised.

I know exactly what I’m looking for and I stick to it, occasionally something different catches my eye and I will never discount it. Everyone’s perception of ‘standards’ are different, dependent upon their own individual view.
I usually recognise ‘punching above my weight’ thus far I have not encountered that here on fab. |

Of course I realise how difficult it can be for newbies, depending on their ability to interact. Some drop straight in as if they’ve been here forever and others may not be so assured of themselves to jump straight in. If they make themselves known as newbies they usually receive a warm welcome.
I don’t see leagues here, I see people with different kinds of views seeking different experiences but at the end of the day we are all here for pretty much the same thing.
As for forumites - some may have met at socials or through dates therefore interaction is more personal because there is a personal connection. You will probably experience the same once you’ve attended MLS

The leagues are just the same as in any community. Those who have been here longest and know the ropes are league one. Newbies are at the bottom and have to work their way up. All good as long as they are allowed to do so. In my opinion, they have a good chance on Fab with some of the ‘oldies’. |
