I thought the universal answer was 43..
Why worry what the ratio is, if it were reversed and you weren't what the others were seeking theres still little interest or no difference.
I don't worry about folk who exclude I Concentrate on the ones who include and are interested.. thats the importat ratio  |

It would be so much better if all guys were more selective and sent fewer messages. Then, maybe our messages would get read? |

The ratio certainly favours women, but I couldn't guess a figure.
The fact that women seem to get hundreds of messages whilst men seldom get any at all might suggest two things: there are far more men than women, and; men are more inclined to use a 'scatter gun' approach to their messages whilst women are more selective.
Personally, I've given up sending initial messages as pretty much pointless - seeing them deleted unread is a bit soul destroying. Instead, I simply reply to those scarce few I receive... and even then I seem to mess them up.

Yeah that'll bethe reason ...it's the other guys fault. 
Why not (like bumble) ban all single guys from messaging first.  and let others contact them first, opening up the dialog. I can see the 'woe is me' threads now. |

Ronald Fisher (Fisher's Principle) suggests that a ratio of 1:1 is, in terms of parental expenditure, is the most evolutionarily stable outcome.
That said, there are variations due to multiple factors e.g. latitude; there are, generally, higher female:male ratios in countries near the equator*.

Do a search for men then for women within 5 miles. Compare the numbers. |

white you mean those that defend others point of view.. in my post theres no defending anyone.
If you see my forum posts (use the green arrow by my name) I don't defend any gender, I say it as I see it, if folk blame others for their failings more often than not they should look closer to home |
