I'm working 11pm NYE through to 8am next morning.

That's the norm in my career in Hotel Management, within which, I'm a Night Manager.

I've had 1 New Year's Eve off in 46 years.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I'm working until 8pm but after 3 12 hour shifts in a row I am just coming home after and not heading out anywhere.

NYE always feels a bit forced and anti-climatic; I say embrace your job and see it as a good excuse not to be forced into an overblown, expensive night out. Bah humbug!
