Tripped onto a second thread - Sat 25th Feb is the day, the time is 1-5pm and the location is as yet secret! (Will message attendees directly about a week or so before with details)

It's however not far from a train station, it's very private and it'll be full of fabulous peeps!

Right you fabulous Fabbers, I have good news and good news.

I think I can safely say I've found an alternative venue that is as secure as it gets, away from the prying eyes of the press and general public, where we can all relax, chill out and chat to our hearts content.

We've managed to get access to a private venue with a minimum contribution to cover facilities.

There's a £5 cover charge for the hire (same price for singles and couples) but you will save on drinks as it's bring your own alcohol or soft drinks (glasses provided) and snacks.

Added benefit it's just over 10 minutes drive from the original venue, with good parking. It's in the Manchester area.

I can suggest an alternative hotel for those wanting to move - please pm me for those who need to sort hotels.

We've also negotiated a discount of £5 into a local swingers club that evening for anyone attending the social.

Apologies for the change of plan, but I'm sure you'll agree, given the current press intrusions into Fab, it's better to keep a lower profile right now.

Hope this is ok, any problems or questions let me know.

Can I ask you all NOT to post details on the thread or share them with anyone, even those on this thread.

i've had something similar, where one person asked to come i tried to PM her the location but i was blocked, so i posted on the thread that i couldn't PM her. she didn't see this but luckily she asked the day before if she wasn't invited and i posted i had tried to PM her and we got it sorted.

This is where personal responsibility cracks in. Did you post again? Did you try messaging one of the Organisers 'cronies' to pass a message on?

Posts get missed all the time, but if you knew Hanky you would also know that she is one of this site, and the scenes gems and would not intentionally ignore anyone. And I'm not a 'crony' I'd certainly say if I thought otherwise.

Socials of this size take hell of alot of planning. So thank you Hanky for arranging and hopefully I'll get to the next one.
