Just male half end of that week. Love Borovets. Back in early March too with the family. Have you been before. Borovets is great fun and by the looks of it the Skiing conditions this year are excellent. Will keep an eye out for you on see who is near and wave if I see you.

Been a few times now but always with others who are not on scene, I have family with me this year. The webcams and weather reports are looking good at the moment |

Did you say you were at the Lion ?
We went there last year and it was lovely. So good we are going back there in March.
At least you can eat it. I remember my first night at Samakov. I took one look at their evil smelling broths and stews and thought there is now way I am eating that this week LOL. You just have to accept that it is not worth paying even the small charge for half board there. It is revolting LOL. |

Wow things must have changed,I stayed their 5 years ago at that hotel, food was good! It's also very cheap to eat out. Been to Borovets 7 times and back at the Rila in early March. |

Been going there for a few years myself and the first time I went it was in the Rila, I will be there again on 2nd Feb.
Last couple of years I have stopped at the Ela which is near the Gondola lift. Not quite as good as the Rila but adequate would describe it well. Bearing in mind that the majority of time is spent on the slopes or apres ski |

Yes it is. Lovely place to go and ski. I can completely understand why people keep going back year after year. This will be my fourth visit later on this week. Huge Pile of snow on the way apparently. Can't wait. |

I agree that the Lion is a nice hotel but it is a fair distance from the resort centre and you have to take the free shuttle to the slopes

Wait till tomorrow. Snowmaggedon might be on the way if My friend in Borovets is right. Over a metre of fresh powder is forecast. Looking at BBC website there is a big white blob sat right over it. Just hope we get there before it really hits.

I am not over there yet, I am flying out on 2nd Feb for a week. The snow reports are from others on here and the local website for Borovets. Still seems to plenty of snow about, it was the same last year too

Wish I was out this year! Well worth getting down into Camokob. If you fancy some more off the beaten track skiing I really recommend getting over to Rila lakes resort and a swingers party in the mountain hut would be insane! |

It has been great, I was with a friend and family so no time to explore anything or anyone from sites like this. Lots of snow with more forecast for next week. Bit busy at times but the new 6 person chair lift certainly clears the queues very quickly. I hope you enjoy your time as much as I did mine. |

Slow but eventually good start to the season with a good fall over xmas and another event just after new year. Looking good for next week when Mr N will be there on the piste
