Saturday 23rd March.
Brand new event in a hired function room with staffed bar. Easily accessible location with good parking.
Limited places available for couples and singles.
Smart casual dresscode please.
We'd like to remind everyone that this is an organized social event. Discretion and respect are expected at the venue, especially towards and in the presence of staff.
We'll disclose the venue to confirmed guests closer to the date.

To be fair it’s getting pretty close, and I thought by putting our names down is confirming. It would be good to know with enough notice to be able to arrange child care, transport/taxi etc etc, as I know from where we live a taxi to donny is pretty difficult to get a few days in advance on a Saturday night. And it would be nice to know where we are confirming for? if it’s a rough old working men’s club then it won’t be for us and I’d rather not waste the babysitter. Most other socials notmslly PM the details of venue once you have put your name on the list, we all like a bit of mystery but please not too last minute |

We have to agree with landc1, we don’t understand why the big secret of where the social is ?? We have been to many in chesterfield, Nottingham and Derby and as they sugggest it’s justice social gathering. They have a guest list which controlled who comes, if your not on the list your not coming in, it’s simple. They run perfectly and have never had any issues with people just turning up in invited. We can see sorting travel and child care can be in issue if you don’t know where you are going. Come on guys this is silly, we are all adults here and as we are already in the swinging world we all understand the need for discretion. |

We've been to quite a few socials where you only find out the location a day or two in advance. I'm assuming it's to minimise the address being passed around too much |

The venue is not seedy. We're not the only organisers to keep the venue private till closer to the date. It's simply a question of discretion, we don't want the venue name plastered across the site. The event is strictly social.
Arranging a taxi or childcare is date-dependent, not venue-dependent. |

You guys actually know us, but you're making us out to be seedy strangers.
We said from the very start that the venue would be disclosed privately to the Guestlist close to the date, for discretionary reasons.
As the supportive comments from other event organisers say, what we're doing is fully justifiable and standard practice.
Hopefully this now puts an end to the discussion and we can all look forward to the evening.
We've already bought some raffle prizes for the event as planning continues.

Hang on, this is forum on a private swingers group/website I can’t really see it being banded about by anyone or giving out to anyone and everyone?? And most socials we have been to don’t keep it a secret, but PM you when you put your name down. Like I say partly it’s to help arrange and partly I don’t want to get to Saturday and be told it’s at Bentley working men’s or billybobs welfare hall in the back of smacksville, as that’s just not for us |

Wasn’t asking months before, I am calm, just I don’t get the whole big secret, oh it will be invaded stuff, and as they have said it’s not a party it’s a social if they know what the venue is why don’t they just PM the people who would like to know, if you don’t hey stay in the dark until the day if it makes it better for you, id rather know where I’m putting my name down to go and then I can decide if a) I still want too, b) best way to get there. All I know it could be my families local and then I’m certainly not going to go lol!
But any way as you said it’s there train set and it’s their social to run as they like, so I guess we will just say we are confirmed until the venue is mystically revealed and then we will decide if we do come. Sorry can’t commit any more than that |

Seeing as Fab is a swinger's site, and we're organizing this event through Fab, it is obviously an event for swingers. However as consistently described, it is strictly a social. It is in a respectable venue, not a sex club. So no play whatsoever.

But we are on the guest list when I looked back when I asked, I stated we did want to be on the guest list but we may back out once announced. Like I said if it’s my families local then no we won’t be attending (yes may family are from Doncaster) |
