Is it possible to stop people being able to take screen shots? Ive been on other types of websites so must be something that could be added?

Only reason we've found this an issue is because someone had took a screen shot of our profile and sent it to a family member which I feel could be avoided....

If someone wants to cause you grief they will find a way. They could put your profile up on a laptop and then take a photo of it . They could print it off . And many many other ways.

Yeah I guess there is no way to completely eliminate it however it would be nice if it wasn't so easy

With the majority of people using a phone to access the site, there just isn't the technology to stop screen shots.

On sites where screenshot are blocked on a laptop, there is nothing to stop a quick swipe on a phone.

If your from Norfolk then isn’t that helping you send pictures to your family members?

Only joking of course

On a serious note I see Netflix stops you from taking a screenshot

Whilst outing someone like that is awful, you have to assume that people you know will also be on here. This is why we don't post recognisable photos and don't share face pics. If anyone did share screen shots of our profile, there's nothing to prove it's us.

In your profile, you show off a pretty distinctive tattoo as well as (presumably) a shot from work as well as half a face pic.

Why don't you right-click protect our photos to stop others stealing / saving them?

We believe in being straighforward with the members of Fab. Right click protect doesn't work and gives a false sense of security by pretending to "protect" images. Other sites may pretend they've protected your images but actually they're being dishonest by claiming that.

Right click "protect" can be gotten around in under 2 seconds by any of the following methods:

Simplest: Goto File menu, Save As, and save to desktop = The photos will be in a folder on your desktop that your browser has created.

OR... Disable JavaScript by going to Tools menu, choose Internet Options, Click the Security tab, click Custom Level, scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and click Disable. Right click can now be used to save images.

OR... Press print screen and the image + page will be copied to clipboard where it can be pasted into a graphics program for resize or save.

We give you three privacy options on your photos and we now hide images from anyone who isn't a member of Fab. If you are worried about someone stealing your photos you may want to set them to be viewable only by your friends, or private in which case you can send by private mail.

We also now watermark all photos upon upload.

The only way to be 100% certain that nobody will copy, by whatever means, your profile, pictures or for that matter anything else, is to not put anything there in the first place that will identify or otherwise incriminate you. If it isn't there, they can't copy it, but if it is there .... that's a different story.
