Does the app work on such things as trains? It would be good to meet Fab members on journeys. Anyone had any success?

"As long as you have a signal then it wil work"

Or are you referring to the near me function? Is so I guess it will be pretty hit and miss considering the speed

I guess if they continue to show as being close to you, as you cross the countryside at the speed of light, they're probably on the train!

No that doesn't work, on a recent long journey a few people stayed on the nearby list but were kind enough to tell us they were no where near when messaged. We had same question as the OP and wanted to test the theory

Bath ish area

Until the accuracy is improved from 'within a mile', you wouldn't be able to tell if they were on the train. Have tried it at an airport and best I got were people from nearby towns or probably staying in the area.

No that's true, they could be travelling in another vehicle, at the same speed and in the same direction as the train you are on!

Just hoping it delivers, can't wait to try it in other areas. Within 1/2 mile would be really good

On the TV programme Skins this year, a bloke had an app which showed people in the same night club. Guess it was fiction!

Been told that the app for gaydar does that. Also many of the social networking apps can. So it is possible. As I've said before this is trying to be something but achieves not much. Those who want to show their location for others to approach can't as the accuracy is not good enough. With in a mile....you may as well do a postcode search on the site.
