I've tried the chat rooms, the keyboard popping up keeps resizing the room windows so it's a bit tricky. Also can't get the front camera on. Everything works fine though, I'm writing this on mine now!

"Hi, does the who's near me work with the PlayBook?
"
Not unless you have the 3g version. "Who's near me" works by the network connecting to the outside mobile phone masts, where WIFI works by IP addresses. I hope this helps. |

Somewhat confused, I'm afraid!! "Who's near me" works from GPS location! I'm not sure what you mean by "where WIFI works by IP addresses"
"Hi, does the who's near me work with the PlayBook?"
The Blackberry web site seems to suggest that all models have GPS, so it should!

"See who's near" works with mobile devices that have Assisted GPS (A-GPS) using the devices 3G or 4G aerial. The signal is connected to any of the surrounding masts giving you a location of where you are and in this case other members. This is powered by an A-GPS server managed by a Network communications company e.g. Crown Castle
PlayBook does not have a 3G or 4G aerial so therefore requires the Internet to plot any location. Because the Internet is connected to a different server you'll not be able to use the feature in discussion unless it is connected to your ISP's (Internet Service Provider) server.
This is the most simplistic way of answering your question without being too brief. |

Chat Rooms:
I've just looked at the chat rooms on my device. It seems as though the Flash software is not fully optimised for certain mobile devices. This would be a subject to take up with the tech team. |
