Is there a way to turn off the online now function. Not that I get mithered but I suppose ladies will and will get annoyed with being bombarded with messages when showing as online.

Nope their isn't but some users don't log off so difficult to know if a user is online or not

if you haven’t logged off the site logs you out after a certain time so you won’t show online unless you are actually online
