It says that's it uses gps to locate other mobiles near you, however I was in yorkshire and the whole time there it only brought up people fromliverpool area, so either they all decided to go to the same town in yorkshire for the same week as me or it just selects random people from around your post code. |

The Who's Near feature does indeed use the GPS location from your phone and it does work!!
However, it depends on you configuring your phone correctly!
1) Check that the phone is showing the correct location when you look at whatever GPS/Maps app you have on your phone.
2) THEN, check that, when you switch on your location on the mobile site, the "We got your location OK:nn.nnnnnn, nn.nnnnnn" message is a) displayed (wait for it!! (my experience is that it can take a minute or two) ) and b) accurate!
Admin,
Would it be possible to put up a temporary message, like "Currently searching for your GPS location - please wait..." until either the "We got your location OK" or the "Your phone couldn't tell us your current location..." message is displayed??
