Could someone plz tell me how to send a friends request can't find the button for it

Menu button on the far right hand side gives that and other options.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

So we're now assuming that because someone can't find the friend request button, there hasn't been any contact with the recipient...

It's a shame that we can't start with the idea that the OP might not be an inconsiderate idiot...

It's not an assumption its advice, as from my experience most don't send a message but do send friend invites
