Those with issues on o2, we're assuming it's an age verification problem. Because Fab is secure it doesn't show the message that o2 would like but try accessing the following page and let us know what you see:
http://www.fabswingers.com/robots.txt
There's info on how to age verify on o2 here:
https://ageverification.o2.co.uk/

Had same issue recently, I contacted O2 via their online help/chat and asked for my age restrictions to be removed for websites, they fixed it in 5 mins.. unsure why it suddenly started, seems a lot of O2 customers had same issue. A |

"O2 have turned this on by defAult. Sky broadband have done it too. You can thank David Cameron for this one of his bills in the last parliament."
Yes it's a good thing , if you have a child
you would not want them to have access to inapropiate sites. A quick 5 min fix is hardly a big bother if it stops children having easy access imo A x |

Seems to be only O2. So how can it be a government bill. Surely it would apply to all mobile service providers? |

It's interpretation of the bill just about all providers turn age protection on as standard for new customers. O2 are the first, and hopefully the last, to turn it on as default for existing customers. |

I'm not sure that parents with children would agree with your thoughts A |

I am pretty ok with them doing it for new customers not to do it with no communication to existing ones. I think parents should control what children see and do with their phones not the mobile phone companies. |

After reading all the advice about this problem I have rang tesco mobile customer service team and said I was having problems accessing over 18 sites and they turned setting off and I am now back on fab using Google platform again. Bearing in mind I have been with tesco for two years and did all this when I came onto tesco mobile. So now all is working fine again. |

"Popped into O2 today and it is an age verification thingy. All good now x"
Think they must need to be reset from time to time for a duty of care thing, still would be nice to know from them that we need to contact them to keep up to date with our preferences as we had done this when we first came onto our network. |
