I read that this morning. I'd say shocking, but it's not, it's business as usual.

It's what happens when a group have had power for too long. They start to believe they can do whatever they like.

Other recent news demonstrating this.

PMQ’s claims no knowledge of saving a party donor 40 million . I can’t believe no body might have mentioned it beforehand he could then have made a statement when it happened .

Sorry, I meant to bring up Robert Jenrick but got distracted by events in the US. Whilst this is subject to legal review, it does look like a clear case of Ministerial intervention to save a party donor £40m, whilst causing the local council to lose money for the people affected by the housing development.

I’d like to think jail if and when found guilty (although the speech in the No 10s garden when he defends himself might almost be amusing as Cummings!).

Will he resign - doubt it; should he - of course!

Jenrick was summoned to the Commons this morning to answer an urgent question on this as it has now emerged that the party received a £12,000 donation after the planning was approved.

He didn't appear and sent a junior minister in his place instead.

The only thing I'm surprised at is how cheap they are to buy off

They will just brazen this out now

The Cummings fiasco has showed them how much they can get away with

12 thousand to save 40 million . 0.03 % I’d have thought a bit little for a bribe . Maybe the donor promised more then delivered less bit like some politicians then .

More like the conservative party got 1200 only and everyone else involved lined their own pockets in cash

Curious that none of the usual suspects are in defending this?

Jenrik also had a lockdown excursion to another residence yet he's still in post.

Cummings I understand because he is BoJo's brain, but what does Jenrik have on him?
