Tin town

So, govt just launched its eat out to help out initiative which is costing billions of pounds of our money. This to encourage people to eat more unhealthy food to the nation that has the largest obesity problem on the planet.

Surely we have missed a trick here? The principle of helping the economy is a good one. But surely they could have targeted it more wisely to get more from it... Use it for only produce that is UK grown... Thus helping our farmers too... Or how about 75 per cent off "healthy" meals and zero off unhealthy meals? Take a look at the list of outlets included... Kfc, bk, 5 guys, pizza express, McDonald's... Et al.

Unhealthy food is not the only choice.

The scheme is not limited to only the large chain restaurant companies.

Many local, small, family run establishments will benefit from the scheme.

As long as you “eat in” then it can qualify.... so if you eat in at the fast food restaurant then it qualifies... but if you take out it doesn’t

Yes kfc, McDonald's, pizza express, bk, Costa, Nandos, stabucks etc are well known for their healthy food options and not at all for feeding the colossal obesity problem in our society. Let's pay them to help make it worse.
