Is it me or has been a reoccuring theme in the current government, that when something goes wrong, they make a U turn then blame someone else?

On one hand it appears that they are admitting they we wrong and are changing as they go along which is good.

But on the other hand it makes them look incompetent,

Do you prefer this style of government?

It's looking beyond a bit pathetic when the guy in charge is blaming the body he told to come up with a solution which he then claims he didn't know was a problem till the last minute..

It's gross negligence, stupidity or a bit of both..

You should see @russincheshire's latest week in tory he's just put on twitter. 80 posts and it's only Tuesday. Points out that Gav was briefed about the problems in person and in writing weeks ago. But he's now saying he only heard of the issues at the weekend.

Also noticed that when they blame the government body they automatically replace it and keep the people who were part same government body.

Or is that just me?

A bit of both. He's unfit for government in any capacity. At least, at Defence, he couldn't do as much harm.

Like Swinney, in Scotland, he was warned on more than one occasion that the algorithm was a bad idea and its potential consequences; they both ignored the advice of those who knew better.

Swinney didn't blame anyone else, to be fair - but it's a travesty that neither of them has had to resign.

Those tweets are great, quite shocking when you see the list, all in one place, every week.

But with a sprinkling of humour.

Yeah, but his mates all blamed Judas...

I do think that successive Governments have been less and less willing to take responsibility.

At one point it was the default action for a minister that fucked up to offer their resignation.

That "buck stops here" type approach seems to have been lost.
