No, I think its more to do with since the EHRC report, the party have instigated new disciplinary processes and consequently the CAA want to resubmit complaints against a list of MPs as when they previously made complaints these were not dealt with properly. In other words they seem quite happy with the EHRC report, its flagged the weaknesses of the process and as a result has pushed the party to instigate/strengthen the complaints /disciplinary process. Just a thought, as this MP is on your radar of "one for the future" would it be pertinent to keep a closer track on her activities. Last thing you would want is a rogue MP spoiling the party? | |||

Following the EHRC findings I'm sure she's one of the Labour MPs on the list of those that should be further investigated... Is she being investigated? So you said she should be getting investigated but the comprehensive investigation hasn't found anything on her? So I'm assuming you have more information than the report? No, I didn't say she should be getting investigated. I asked if she is one of the MPs that, AFTER the EHRC report publication is listed by a campaign group who THEY think should be investigated. I don't think they have written to the party to say the EHRC report wasn't extensive enough (if they thought that, then presumably they would have written to the EHRC). I think it is in the wake of the report publication they want Labour to take appropriate action with regard to specific on going complaints against a list of currently sitting and recently ex MPs - which I think Ms Sultana is one of (I think one of the others is someone previously mentioned in this thread - Apsana Begum - the one in Court in July on charges of fraud) Anyway, as you suggest, one to watch in the future... But clearly they dont think the report was extensive enough? Is this the same campaign group who said about another 16 mps should be investigated? Are labour going to act on their advice? You would need to ask CAA if they thought the EHRC report was extensive enough - have CAA written to EHRC? We do know they have written to the party, not about the EHRC report and findings, but to raise concern about a number of MPs. Again, I don't know if the party are doing anything about it - are they doing anything about it? I don't know The report seemed quite conclusive but obvs according to this pressure group didnt go far enough. I wonder why? No, I think its more to do with since the EHRC report, the party have instigated new disciplinary processes and consequently the CAA want to resubmit complaints against a list of MPs as when they previously made complaints these were not dealt with properly. In other words they seem quite happy with the EHRC report, its flagged the weaknesses of the process and as a result has pushed the party to instigate/strengthen the complaints /disciplinary process. Just a thought, as this MP is on your radar of "one for the future" would it be pertinent to keep a closer track on her activities. Last thing you would want is a rogue MP spoiling the party? " I'm fairly sure after what's happened in the past he is likely to tolerate anything that will tarnish the party's image. His actions over long bailey were quite controversial and there is still a pending legal action. | |||
