Another fine mess, 500 DVLA employees with Covid in Swansea office , due to management not enforcing Covid safe practices in the office, silencing the test and trace app during office hours, people forced to work in the office and prevented from working from home.
What does this say?

Why is it the government's fault ? Are they in charge of how every office in the country is run, they make the rules it's up to others to enforce them, except of course incase you hadn't noticed the dvla are based in Wales and health is a devolved power so the Welsh government are responsible for what goes on there if any government is. |

So where do you get your driving licence from?the DVLA may be based in wales, but it is responsible for the taxation and registration of all vehicles in the in the UK. Who do they report to? The Belgians? Of course not! The department of transport is their superior, who runs that? Grant Shapps, and as far as I am aware he is a member of this government! |

How desperate do you have to get to justify your hatred of the government. Health is a devolved matter, but no government, Welsh or uk is overseeing the rules at the level you seem to think they are. Do you think Nissan Japan are responsible for implementing uk hse and environmental rules in Sunderland? Time to stop digging |

Nissan UK are responsible and the head of Nissan UK would have been held accountable. In the DVLA case, the rules are Welsh Govt, the adherence, or lack thereof is an issue within DVLA and if they have failed, then management of DVLA (including Grant Shapps) are accountable. In this case the Welsh Govt would fine them. |

It’s not hatred, its pointing out rank stupidity, this whole situation could have been avoided. But govenment have failed miserably in its mishandling of the entire crisis, period.
