For all the bluff and bluster, it’s appears things are going to the toilet quicker to than a lorry driver with a bad case of the runs in a portable chemical toilet at a lorry park in Kent waiting to cross the channel.

Just admit you got it all wrong, and you helped cause untold damage to our economy, and wasted taxpayers money on custom systems which barely cope and don’t work.

And to cap it, you accepted a deal which will destroy he very fabric of this great nation.

You were wrong, so wrong.

The EU is vaccinating - albeit at a slower rate than us. So, your grasp on reality is clearly slipping.

Well, that's the problem. The country can't move on because of the problems it's causing to the economy.

Leavers were robbed ...there was an assumption of governmental competence that underpinned the leave vote ... competence that is clearly absent from this Gov - populated with the chief protagonists of Brexit.

Mocking and questioning a persons mental health? Classy

I most certainly wasnt mocking, the OP has posted lots of times about something that's done, it's time to move on, he/she sounds like a dumped lover who wont accept facts, it often destroys their mental health, there is no going back now

There you go again? Questioning (someone you don’t know ) mental health? Classy howay mate it can’t be good for ppl tm be moaning about the same thing for almost 5yrs now it must be taking its toll on some

Farage and other leave voters moaned about it for 30 years??who too 30 yrs ago the most a working man could do was to his mate down the pub don’t think they where on internet 24/7 buddy lol"

They still moaned, wouldn’t accept the original referendum result , created and voted for a party that was anti EU etc

As well as getting large vaccine orders in very early as well.

We are where we are now. There are manifestly problems. The UK has lost a lot of money and many businesses are struggling. Yes covid has made things worse, but a lot of the current difficulties are clearly linked to the exit from the EU and the way it has been implemented.

Can somebody from the leave side now please start giving constructive ideas about how the situation can be improved. Stop telling us that you won and that we have to get over it. Because: you won, I've accepted it, now can you get on with giving me all the good things that you promised?

We'll never know but his point remains true, leaving the EU had nothing to do with how our vaccination programme has been delivered.

This was even major news on the day of the vaccine sign off that the timing had NOTHING to do with being out of the EU but some leavers are that desperate to have any form of Brexit win are just making up utter rubbish to promote Brexit.

Sounds a familiar trend

OP, do your homework, French bankers still coming to London to work, Macron refused his country a referendum, Italy and Spain anti EU political parties growing, the Dutch had already voted to leave. Global investors see the UK as secure, that is why the pound is worth more now. So what has been ruined.

If it is about the fact that shipping costs are more, well just wait until the current profiteering has finished. Not that it matters as of 1st July, you will be paying VAT again under EU MOSS and UK OSS. These are global schemes and nothing to do with leaving the EU.

The EU will be finished in 5 years time, it will be refashioned to that thing called an EEC - remember that. The only way it can continue as is, would be to have one government, and I really don't see the likes of Ireland, France and Spain disbanding their governments.

"OP, do your homework, French bankers still coming to London to work, Macron refused his country a referendum, Italy and Spain anti EU political parties growing, the Dutch had already voted to leave.

Want make a wager on the full dissoultion of the EU in jan 2026?

Really the pound is worth more than it was in 2016?

This fantasy that is the problem, that we are significantly better off, I don’t see nothing which supports that view. Only attempts by leave media outlets to put a positive spin with miniscule deals made in minor sectors of the economy.

Leavers are always clutching at straws and making them appear like steel pipes.

Admit leave was wrong, it has caused more harm than good in this nation icluding our economy and the architects of this fiasco were nothing more that snake oil huxters.

Evidence of the French bankers please.

Pound is worth more now than when? Historically, it really is low now.

Dutch referendum?

Macron refusing?

The EU finished in 5 years’ time? Lol. Is that your own ‘project wank’?

According to a recent poll 61% of the French are pleased to see the U.K. leaving the EU. They’re clearly distraught aren’t they? They don’t give a toss about your self proclaimed importance and the arrogant country Britain has become by trying to flex its tiny muscles. We’ve become a country obsessed with its own belly button. The tripe you believe in is not universal truth. Before dreaming of the EU collapsing, try to make your project unicorn work. Priority number one: some fishermen in this country need your attention right now. Forget about the EU collapse for a minute.

No way the EU is collapsing and to wish for that is way of shooting ourselves in the other foot, given that the EU is our biggest and closest market. It would be near-term disaster for the UK economy if the EU collapses. But again, those wishing for it are only exposing their nativity to the complexities of Global economics and governance. One of the reasons Joe Public should never have been asked his opinion on membership in the first place.

Anyway, no the EU won't be collapsing anytime soon, but here's a prediction for 10 years time.

China at the top of the food chain, followed by a weakening, divided US and a strengthen more united EU.

The UK or what is left of it after the Scots leave and possibly the Irish, will be left trying to sweep up whatever crumbs fall from the top tier table.

I love this country, but it's been sold up the river to settle a debate that should have confined the dark, smoky rooms of the Bullingdon Club.

Instead of the Bullingdon club it’s been settled by the Blackpool candy floss deep fried fish adorers, a well respected non think-tank.

There are a lot of crystal balls on this site, I've just looked in one, the germans get sick of financing every small country that can't pay its way, the French go further to the right, the Greeks get sick of being debt encumbered whipping boys...Spain does a separate deal to keep British ex pats...etc etc. it just comes apart at seams and they all go back to old currencies which they liked. Not so hard to imagine? Scotland has become independent but to late as there is no eu and nicola goes down in its history as being a twat. The rest of uk now trades largely with Asia, no German cars here thanks.... and we all live happily ever after! Of course that is just wild speculation like lots of the posts on here!

I don't see an EU in the future, just an EEC. There is massive resentment about associate members Norway and Denmark, and now I suspect the UK, many consider that the half in idea is not what the EU is about. Some above are confusing trade and governance, two very different things. A trade bloc of some sort (EEC) will always exist, but I don't see the current form of governance (EU) continuing as it is.

I do not accept the premise that in five years the EU will simply implode and roll back to the old EEC, what is the saying too big to fail.

This is the problem with nationalism - it's short-sighted.

No, comparatively, the UK doesn't do much trade with Asia and no people, in the main, don't want Toyotas rather than VWs, Mercs and BMWs.

The EU is the UK's biggest market by far ..nothing even comes close. It's also our closest... global trade 101, you have the strongest trading relationships with those closest to you and your values. That's the EU, not China.

So if it implodes as some here would like, it will be a disaster for the UK and for the global economy more broadly. The world is build on a system of integrated global trade, it would take decades to unpick and the fall out would be bad for those at the bottom.

Quite the opposite will happen in my opinion. China is about to ascend to the crown of biggest global economy, the US is divided to such an extent that it is becoming hard to govern. The EU block will become more tight-nit in order to either fend off and increasingly dominant China and to rival and increasingly fractured US.

The next decade will be dominated by this power struggle between 3 huge trading blocks. one only need read recent headlines to see how this is beginning to play out.

The UK is now on the sidelines and will become increasingly less important on the world stage.

What it needs to do now is learn how to thrive rather than simply survive. Sadly, that requires competence at the top...

Just admit you got it all wrong, and you helped cause untold damage to our economy, and wasted taxpayers money on custom systems which barely cope and don’t work.

And to cap it, you accepted a deal which will destroy he very fabric of this great nation.

You were wrong, so wrong.

The opposite all going well but you cannot bring yourself to admit.

Vaccine roll out all because we have left the EU or would you rather be in the EU with no vaccine?

You really need to grasp reality

The EU is vaccinating - albeit at a slower rate than us. So, your grasp on reality is clearly slipping.

How much is made for China in the UK, you would be very surprised, most is then shipped into the EU.

How many German cars are made in Germany or elsewhere in the EU, very few models actually.

Burke’s address to the electorate of Bristol ..

If I carry out your instructions without giving you the benefit of my judgement , I am not serving you I am failing you ..

It may be the popular opinion of the gang to raid the pub and smash every trannies face in .. however you and I would both hope for a more political solution could be found .. We would hope you and I that a politician could broker a deal between those whom carried the opinion that you and I where nothing more than a queer bunch of cxxts and needed exterminating , even though that view was his own opinion . One would hope , wouldn’t one that opinion did not cloud his political judgement "

Is that Edmund Burke or another one? I'm not sure they had tranny pubs in 1700? Ale houses and ladies of the night perhaps? Oooo matron have politicians hijacked common sense..... no!
