What has changed is the reporting. Just a couple of decades back the recent flooding in Germany would have been a few lines in the paper. Possibly a mono photo. New York was swamp land 250 years ago so the hurricane flooding would not have occurred.

The weather is largely determined by the big hot orangey thing in space, jet streams, gulf streams and air pressure...not government, not money, not glueing yourself to the M25, not junk science committees and definitely NOT a Swedish teenager. |

Solar flares and coronal mass ejections do have huge amounts of energy but they are still only about 0.0001% of the total energy that the earth receives and hardly any of that reaches the earth anyway, nearly all of it is deflected away by our magnetic field.
As for the predictions which ones are you referring to?
Exteme weather events, Glaciers and ice cap melts or global average temperature rises. |
