The legal decisions by trump supporters.

It's not great for extensive time wasting and preventing or delaying justice

Intelligent community should be the ones reviewing the documents to see if there was international breech don't you think ? Along with a independent judicial investigation. FBI and DOJ are not qualified to assess the information. They not CIA now are they. Who better to pass judgement. The intelligence community.

Another day, another Blu Trump thread. Happy times.

Blu, why are you so intent on supporting this guy?

A few of his greatest hits:

He really did try to overthrow democracy in your country. You saw and heard the evidence with your own eyes and ears. That's a huge deal.

He's a pathological liar, so you can't trust a word he says. The Washington Post catalogued over 30,000 of his lies in office.

He's a sex offender. He's on tape admitting as much.

Looks a hell of a lot like he stole a bunch of classified documents too...

the point here is that the doj are the most qualified to oversee if trump broke the law. the cia would offer a biased opinion by way of being unable to independetly distinguish wether laws have been broken, and that would be unconstitutional. it's that simple.

The facts of the matter are; The government documents were found in his house in the USA. The CIA deals with foreign intelligence outside the USA and has no jurisdiction inside.

Trumps lawyers certified in writing that there were no documents remaining. That was incorrect. The FBI found certified secret and top secret docs but more concerningly, empty secret and top secret file covers.

Given those facts, accepted even by Trump, even a 5 year old would know he was illegally in possession of sensitive national documents. No further checking is necessary.

The Special master is simply a legal ploy to delay matters until the midterm elections. It has been allowed to try and show the MAGA bunch that Trump is being treated fairly.

This is excellent. The Republicans are ruining things for Trump and Trump is ruining things for the GOP.

The Special Master thing appears to be a time wasting exercise, because that's what he always does. I think what is in his mind is that if he runs, they can't touch him. The great thing is that this situation spoils things for DeSantis too. It's a win win.

Actually… she has far overreached on her jurisdiction and given him preferential treatment because he is an ex president, she specifically said that in her statement…. So she has opened herself up for appeal at federal court level Because the documents were taken from DC they may have jurisdiction, not Florida!

Also she gave him part treatment on the basis of executive privilege when it’s not his to claim! Only a current president has that authority!

But anyway because they waited so long the sift teams have already separated what is attorney client privilege … so it won’t delay the investigation a lot

Ordering a halt to investigation is a bit troubling.

Can't wait to hear who Trump thinks is suitable to go through highly classified documents (which he declassified and the FBI planted and he wants back and should be attached to him as the executive and not the DOJ as executive and - it's not even internally consistent )

It's not a failure yet. It will be if this stands.

A modern society cannot exist without the rule of law. The law being applied equally, without fear or favour.

Given the time that's elapsed since these documents were stolen, and how Joe Bloggs would be treated doing the same, there has already been considerable favour. And ok, there are extra legal considerations to take into account, so, I get it.

But to grant this, when this case should only have been held in DC under the Presidential Records Act, to separate it from the ongoing process in another Florida court, to limit an investigation which has implications for US and even international security - the mind fucking boggles.

There are degrees of failure. Most countries, in practice, have imperfect rule of law.

This one - complete with threats of violence from lawmakers and acts of stochastic terrorism if Trump doesn't get his way - seems to be a big red line.

Because Mueller didn't feel he had the authority. And Barr - per the recent revelation via freedom of information - decided not to even entertain the idea of indicting Trump.

(Not for most things. Just what he claims about his own mindset)

But Trump's a pathological liar. His word should never be taken on anything. He shouldn't even trust his own word. Yet millions do. Remember the Russian collusion debacle? Alot of people presumed he was guilty. He wasn't.

It's odd, because if you read the contents of the Mueller report, it doesn't say that. It says the opposite. Barr just lied on TV. Did the investigation indite trump ? No it did not.

Because Mueller didn't feel he had the authority. And Barr - per the recent revelation via freedom of information - decided not to even entertain the idea of indicting Trump.

Funny how facts work."

Trump is not the messiah returned to Earth. Consequently believing in his innocent perfection is not a matter of faith.

He is a corrupt business man who has managed to deceive gullible people and dishonest hangers on into believing every single negative thing said about him was lies or fake news. Even when the "corrupt media" show two clips, one after the other, where he lies and then contradicts himself the loyal followers continue in their suspended reality to never doubt him.

If he stands and loses the next presidential election he will try and turn the USA into a national version of Waco Siege. That will be massively destructive.

We “might “ have some idea of what trump was holding in the top secret documents…

Washington post are saying that one of the documents found in trumps office may have described the nuclear capabilities of other countries….

If that’s true… then he is going to jail no questions!!!

Does Trump still think the last election was stolen??

Ooh I can answer that 1. No Trump doesn't think the election was stolen. But he lies that it was to whip up his base of misled loons. Because he knows if he can keep a big enough mob frothing at the mouth, he might not get charged with his crimes and end up in jail.

Trump tried to build a casino in Sydney, Australia in 1987.

The New South Wales authorities rejected him, 35 fucking years ago, because of his mafia like behaviour.

And now people (not the person I'm replying to) think he's the fucking Messiah *massages temple*

Does trump still think the last election was ‘stolen’ ? do you ?

No, I will try again, does trump still think the last election was stolen ? he does. So what is wrong with the make America great again policy?

What an idiot, what is he basing that on? isn't Brexit similar to the MAGA movement here? You all voted for it to separate your nationalism from the rest. So I say again what is wrong with the MAGA policy. You all voted on a similar concept. You know UK first. We do it and everyone gets their knickers in a bunch."

Why does he still think the election was stolen? He is embarrassing himself and making people who support him look like idiots

"Vote against the monarchy. Kick that system to the curb. Do you see queens here? You do not. Yet you all vote to sustain the influence of a monarchy. Trusting trump is exactly the same outcome you all choose. Be brave shut down the monarchy. Its the same but with a different face."

Unfortunately, you don't seem to understand how a constitutional monarchy functions.

The monarch does not introduce laws or policy. It does not have any executive power whatsoever.

The monarch does not question the legitimacy of elections.

The monarch does not remove secret documents.

So very different to Trump. Interesting though that you seem to be comparing hom to an absolute monarch which is not what the UK has.

We seem to enjoy the history and the pomp and ceremony enough to retain the monarchy. It doesn't appear to represent a threat to democracy. Ironically our current elected government appears to be more of a threat, but that's another discussion.

As an aside, the link to your article is also factually wrong and a bit weird. The Queen does not own all of the land in the UK and Commonwealth. A slightly better researched link here:

Yes. We're looking at Trump through our understanding of US law.

Given the Queen has no special status in US law (and has not been alleged to commit crimes under US law ) she's entirely irrelevant.

Besides, we did have a civil war to sort this shit out. It's why she's only a figurehead now.

That has nothing to do with the considerable evidence of Trump's crimes.

The DOJ has considerable evidence of Trump's crimes, whether we have Queen Elizabeth, King Charles, a lot of executed royals, or President Truss (god help us).

There has been a convention that the royals don't interfere in politics. It's the underpinning of the British constitution and has been for 300 years.

Our political leader is Liz Truss, not King Charles.

And even if King Charles decided to fuck up the settlement of the English civil war, Trump would still be in deep legal trouble in the US.

Blu. If the monarchy were abolished tomorrow. If we gave all the money to Epstein's victims. If we shot everyone in the royal succession down to me (which is probably tens of millions of people)...

Even if all that were true, Trump is still being investigated for breaching US intelligence law. May have compromised international security. Which is what you started the thread about. You did not start it about the UK monarchy

As much as Ann Sacoolas should face trial in the UK over the death of Harry Dunn.

Neither Ann Sacoolas not Prince Andrew have run their respective countries, falsely claimed voter fraud, spread division and illegally removed secret documents or is threatening to try to run the country having done so.

"Now is chance for you all to dissolve the monarchy image."

Why do we want to dissolve the monarchy?

We have our own political system which was in place long before yours and appears to be marginally more stable.

Blu brought it up!

I don't even support the monarchy pity's sake.

I tried to get into the details I've gleaned about your system. I'm following all of this.

But apparently we're now arguing that the monarchy shouldn't exist. (I happen to agree, although not passionately enough to try to overthrow anything) The monarchy is entirely irrelevant to a US citizen doing things in America under US law.

If King Charles steals US classified documents, maybe the monarchy becomes relevant

I don't know. Seems to not trust the US judicial and law enforcement system.

Curious because, apparently, the judge appointing the Special Master is trustworthy but the one who allowed the search (which seems to have found classified documents) is not...

So trump team got the special masters they wanted (at the moment.. it’s being appealed in federal court today) so whilst that is going on.. the special master has asked the trump team which documents they are alleged to have been declassified? Trump team are saying “we are not going to tell you/ we don’t want to tell you!” Reason being they don’t want to give up that information just in case the DOJ decide to charge!!

It looks like the trump team are going to try and make the DOJ prove the documents are classified without making the assertion trump didn’t declassify them!!! That’s a hell of a play!

And back to the original post… Trump got another kick in the nuts last night…. DOJ wins its appeal over the classified documents and can continue its investigation

The judges ruled 3-0 in favour of the DOJ, the appeals was held in the 11th circuit, which is the one that covers the south and south eastern United States, it’s the most conservative of the court of appeals, 2 of the 3 federal judges on the court of appeal panel who oversaw the case were appointed by trump and McConnell

The 29 page ruling is scathing of trump and of the original judge saying the ruling was all sorts of wrong, and the evidence and arguments put forward by the trump team was flimsy at best

Seriously though… if trump isn’t winning there, he is not winning this case anyway!!

1) One of the 1% and is morally bankrupt enough to put their own wealth over the well being of their fellow citizens

2) A cultist who has swallowed lies and propaganda unseen before the current age of politics.

3) Mentally incapable of making rational or logical decisions in their life

4) Lying to you to make money. Yet you all have a monarch as a figurehead. Why is that? "

Definition of a "figurehead"...

"a nominal leader or head without real power."

Our monarchy was separated from any real power over the country many many years ago, and now has no power to make decisions that in any way form, alter, or guide our government or laws.

Maybe now you can move on from this one incorrect assumption you keep making.

Also loving this special master because he is obviously listening to comments being made by trump and his inner circle on tv…

One of the things trump has alluded to on TV is that the FBI planted some of the documents… so he has now given his lawyers 1 week under oath to tell them exactly which documents they think were slipped in!!!

Basically he is making them put up or shut up…

Interesting. What do you think of the criminal implications of sending asylum seekers across state lines?"

So delusional, look at the first issue.

When President Trump left office, the illegal immigration flood had been drastically slowed and controlled. joey shows up now we have an uncontrolled invasion of millions in under 2 years. joey appointed the cackling vp, with nothing being done. Basically another failure.

joey, has been trafficking these illegals all over the US with documented flights into Jacksonville Fl at late and early hours of the day (10pm-3am) joeys press lady called them early morning flights.

Governor DeSantis is mandated to protect Florida from being over run with illegal immigrants, immigrants that do not get screened for background checks, have no means to support themselves.

Governor DeSantis offered to take these illegal immigrants to marthas vineyard which is a self proclaimed sanctuary city on a voluntary basis. One that will take illegal aliens and shelter them, feed them and protect them from Federal immigration officials.

My goodness these hypocrits had them removed and transported to another undisclosed city. By the way here could be your case for trafficking as I am sure they were not moved voluntarily.

Get the facts, or otherwise your spreading propaganda like the majority of tabloid journalists

Thanks for enlightening me did not know they still had late night people that thought they were funny. Thought they had been all washed up.

Thought they had been all washed up."

Fascinating. Not sure it's attached to reality, but fascinating.

President Trump, Governer DeSantis, joey (not even worthy of a capital letter).

Not someone who's ever going to have a rational discussion.

Green Cove Springs

The other side is the administration that is pulling joeys puppet strings in the White House.

You know the one that opened up the oil line from Russia to Europe, shut down the US supply oil lines. Slowed down the US oil production to the point now where the US is also scouring world markets for oil, draining our oil reserves and not replenishing it.

Yep people's outrage with Mr. Trump is misguided and needs to be focused on the bumbling clown that is supposedly leading the world. You know the one that was confused on how he was supposed to leave the stage after his speech in front of the UN.

Man I love winding you lefties with some facts!
