So many Tory MP’s are stepping down at next GE.

This Is a zombie government, 1 and a half years are left before they are kicked out.

Still 20 points behind labour. Every poll is indicating that they are being outmatched by labour.

We know the tory government are hanging on by their fingertips over the chasm of oblivion. Can something come and stamp on them and put them out of their collective misery?

I don't see it. People have been saying the same for years.

The extremely well funded Conservative PR machine and their allies in press always ensure that the electorate fall in line.

There is a long way to go to the next GE. They'll formulate some derogatory nicknames for SKS, some bullshit headlines "Starmer was in the IRA" or some bollocks, crank out the old tropes "Labour are the party who borrow money and raise taxes" etc etc. Before we know it. Five more years of Tory reign.

I well remember one paper dragging up a story of the Moors Murderers so they could print a picture of Corbyn next to one of Brady on their front page.

As you say not too long to wait now until they have to have a GE. Then we are saved. Hang on in there

I agree.

The only way Labour will get elected is if the corporations and billionaires who fund the Tories decide that Starmer will represent their interests better than whomever the PM come the next GE.

. Most rational voters would prefer to rely on the election results , not what people would like to happen. To date it is twelve years of non stop success. Much better to have a few problems now and use the next two years to prepare another winning campaign . The last election was an 80 seater majority , why should the next one be any different. ?

The key point to drive home is how much support the government have given to the less well off in society. Just look at the energy support packages going into people's bank accounts this week to see how much help is being given . Half a million cars on disability lease packages is further proof of the Conversatives helping the disadvantaged. The vehicles are all leased VAT free.

Let's see what the next two years bring ? . Hopefully a fifth term of success. Boris may even return to power. He was one of life's winners and a true man of the people . We have probably made a mistake by not giving Lizz Truss a chance. Her policies may have kick started the economy but the doubters would not give her a chance

Idealistic futility?

You mean the principals with which Labour was originally based upon?..

We haven't had a true Labour government in over 40 years. Blair and now Starmer are just facilitating the status quo..

However, must say I am a little disappointed as I didn’t expect the rhetoric to be as easy to spot. I was hoping the gap in time would have led to a new persona with a different style to keep us guessing. Bit lazy really Pat!
