Trump has at least almost entirely stopped illegal immigrants wandering across the US southern border at the stroke of a pen.
Something which Biden failed to do in four years (presumably because the Democrats didn’t want to do anything about it).
And which our own Labour government seems to be totally failing at, for exactly the same reasons. |

He has also done a pretty good job at stopping those boats full of American goods crossing the pacific to China.

"Of more relevance is what have Labour achieved in their first 300 days.
I think Labour voters are far more comfortable talking about Trump."
In a thread specifically about Trump, I'm really not sure why anyone would want to dove into labour.
You can always go make your own thread about labour if it's such a thing for you 💜 |

Within 5 minutes of searching on Google I found figures for America/Mexico border crossings that would suggest you're incorrect about the democrats not taking action on border crossings.
Do you check the news you read or just believe the carefully curated headlines?

Here is some analysis from BBC Verify. Yes BBC Verify! So it’s guaranteed to be true!
“Since January 2021, when Joe Biden came to office, there have been more than 10 million encounters - about 8 million came over the southwest land border with Mexico.
Under the Trump administration, there were 2.4 million encounters on this border”.
Official stats on border encounters since October 2024:
October 2024: ~56,530 encounters
• November 2024: ~94,190 encounters
• December 2024: No specific monthly data available.
• January 2025: ~29,101 encounters
• February 2025: ~8,347 encounters
• March 2025: ~7,181 encounters
• April 2025: ~11,197 encounters. |

For the border crossing I can absolutely believe a drop in numbers.
The idea of escaping to live a better life in America is long dead. There's probably more trying to cross the border in the other direction these days 💜 |

Considering how easily the whole Trump administration feel about lieing does anyone actually believe the figures they put out?
If, on Trump's specific instructions, the Republicans had not hamstringed the Biden administration and stopped the bipartisan plan to improve Border protection from being implemented, the Biden figures would have been far better. |
