Shocking new figures show EU countries have paid Russia three times more in oil and gas revenues than they have given in military aid. While the UK and US banned Russian oil and gas imports the EU has continued to allow gas imports.

Shocking if typical hypocrisy.

I agree with what you say, but the problem is, Russia is such a large part of Western Europe’s natural gas supply, cutting it off entirely would drastically affect global stocks and therefore prices. And Putin knows this.

Yet the hypocrisy when they were chastising other countries like India for buying Russian oil is typical.

It was a shining beacon of EU foreign policy. The countries that bought very little gas from Russia were all in favour of a ban and the countries that get nearly all of their gas from Russia were totally against. The common interest wasn’t even a consideration.

If the so called allies wanted this war over, why don’t they arm Ukraine properly for a win.

"If the so called allies wanted this war over, why don’t they arm Ukraine properly for a win. "

Because they can't for a non Nato country, it's limited. Plus they are overrating Putin threat and not feed his claim Russia in threatened by Nato.So the measured approach is the best option.

If they signed Ukraine up to NATO in the first days of the war, they could have pushed Russia back easily.

Hesitation cost them.

Wait until you see the explosion of exports to Kyrgyzstan. Simply mind blowing. Almost like they're a middleman.
