Government data breech...

"Thats all we need...7000 Afghan nationals flooding the country, nice to know the country is safe...all because of a government leak...fuckin idiots..wouldnt surprise me if its all a set up"
Yah, this was last year. And the number was 9000 I think. And it breached Afghan data who helped Brits/US during the Afghan war, so they were being hunted by the Taliban/ISIS (from memory).
They were interpreters, Lawyers, Judges, Police, people giving insider knowledge of Taliban/ISIS locations or aiding prosecution. The data leak and resulting non extradition of them meant they couldn't get out of the country - I'm surprised they are still alive, it's probably why it was held Top Secret until released now. |

Ah what's another 7000 from a culture that is completely opposed to our own,hey ho I'm sure there won't be any problems with thousands more people coming into the country from a place where life is cheap and women are 3rd or 4th class citizens, |

I think this is not as straightforward as headlines might at first sight suggest. These I believe were locals helping the US and UK forces with intelligence and information about the Taliban. If the Taliban were to get hold of these people they would be tortured and ultimately killed.
These are genuine asylum seekers whom I have no issue with coming here. |

The culprit has probably been promoted several times since this happened. |

Speaking of mainstream media - this on the Beeb contrasts to a few numbers above.
"nearly 19,000 people who had applied to move to the UK ... leaked in February 2022"
"the leaked list has seen 4,500 Afghans come to the UK and a total of 6,900 expected."
"The scheme has cost £400m, with a projected final cost of about £850m".

They took responsibility and helped those they could, as they our government was to blame, putting thousands in danger so good show imo.
But in other countries they do not give a sh1t.
Why is that? |

We recall that the media previously reported on Afghans stranded in Afghanistan who helped UK forces. This isn't out of the blue, they've just changed their story. It was planned and known about all along. We're just been fed new bull shit to justify it. |

Meanwhile a 29 year old Afghan asylum seekers who rated a 15 year old in Falkirk, is sentenced to 12 years in prison.
But apparently doesn't seem to think he has done anything wrong.
Defence counsel Janice Green told the court there were language difficulties and a "cultural barrier" between Nikzad's home country where child marriage was common.
She said: "I'm not suggesting that means that he reasonably believed (the complainer) was consenting, but that there's a reason why he could have misunderstood."

Over 1000 UK troops killed or seriously injured over the 20 year war, cost an additional £33bn over and above normal defence spending. For what exactly?
Kneejerk reaction to 9/11 Supporting Bush.
When will the UK government learn to keep out of wars we cannot win?
At least Harold Wilson kept my generation out of the Vietnam war, another humiliation for the US. |

"Let's be clear, it isn't a current labour government data breach, it is a previous conservative government breach and cover up. "
It’s odd that it’s taken from July 2024 to now to come out. If the super injunction was at the government’s request couldn’t Labour have gone back to court and asked for it to be lifted? |

Also, you like many others omit the word conservative when speaking about the government data breach etc.

Not really. I am not seeking to defend the Tories’ actions here it clearly happened while they were the government.
I’m just querying why Labour did nothing about it. It looks like Labour has been happy to keep this under wraps too. |
