The Corbyn Sultana outfit seems to have been launched, online at least. Though it doesn’t seem to have a name.
Not an auspicious start.
Who will be joining?
Is this the end of Labour and the Greens?

Interesting move…
I always saw Starmer as a route back in for the hard left and it was only a matter of time before they started chipping away.
Now with Reform pulling in Labour voters who want immigration control, and Corbyn potentially drawing support from the hard left, Labour’s centre could come under serious pressure.
Starmer already knee-jerked with his language to try to win back Reform defectors. If Corbyn gains any traction, the messaging from No.10 is going to be a hoot. |

It would potentially attract some of those who are disenfranchised from the right moving labour. Last election there was quite a lot of tactical voting, so the increased choices of parties could also mean a few percentages of voters shifting around. As winners margins can be small, their existence could readily affect results next time. |

Yes could really lead to even more tactical voting than happened at the last General Election , |

it will be interesting to see if a number of Labour MPs will join the new party, I suspect a lot of party members will change to the new party as there is little love for Starmer & his right wing agenda |

Being pragmatic, i don't think many will at all. Let's face it, the only reason most of the new intake of Labour MP's got elected was because Corbyn wasn't the leader, not because Starmer was the leader. No, i think if this new party gets of the ground at all, it will actually be a launch pad for Diane Abbott. Corbyn knows full well he will never lead a national party. |

You probably have the 5 independent mps… plus 1 or 2 of the further left of labour…..
I’m surprised they didn’t join the greens
Reminds me of the group of moderate labour and tories who formed a new party in the Johnson/corbyn era rather than join the lib dems |

I think any Labour MP who defects now will come to regret it within four years. The early surge of support, driven by the usual homeless communists who are energised by Zarah Sultana’s marxist rhetoric will fade away to a trickle once the novelty taglines wear off. |

I see the right wing media has already started it's smear campaign. |

Can you imagine the press (AND talk TV and GB News) if members of Your Party were jumping on police vans , attacking our boys (and girls) in blue and setting fire to wheelie bins in an attempt to murder
But hey ho let's smear Corbyn |

Sultana and Corbyn just need to open their mouths.
Nobody needs to waste time and money doing a smear campaign. |

What good would a smear campaign do, they should be promoting the party, it is going to split labour even further. |

They just go after anyone who would offer any meaningful change or who would prioritise British people over big corporate donors. |

It will make no meaningful change. Many before have tried to set up a new party and it’s never worked out. Regardless of which side of the political divide it is on people will revert back to either labour / conservatives or not giving two hoots and not voting. To have any chance you need to really get the people behind you from the very start. When you start a political party and can’t be even arsed to think of a name, you’re never going to grab the attention of the general public. Sure people who already like Corbin will join him, but that’s not nearly enough for him and this new party to amount to anything. If you can’t get the public behind you, you can’t generate the votes you need. Farage has managed to grab the attention of people who are not normally bothered by what any politician has to say, which come the next election may get a few surprise seats. But two elections after that it will be very much a case of “Farage who?” |
