One dead, a dozen injured reportedly.

Putins message to taco and the coalition of the willing.

Had it been confirmed as deliberate? As in the Russians have not said it was an accidental hit?

This won’t stop until there are nato bombers over Russia. Time to make Moscow look like Mariupol.

Wow, not seen any news today. I don’t see the logic. The smart move for Putin would have been to just carry on as he has been. NATO were never gonna ramp things up if he did, and I’m not sure they will now. But there will be congressmen and a senator or two banging on the white house door demanding a response.

Trump is a non interventionist and won’t be dragged in easily. It took 9-11 to get Bush involved and this sounds a far cry from that.

Near Glasgow

Israel attacked a US navy ship the USS Liberty in 1967 and blamed it in the fog of war.

Even though 34 American crewmen were killed, there was no repercussions. So I see the same explanation given here.

500,000 NATO troops with potential capacity of 100’s squadrons of warplanes would crush Russias conscripts like grapes. Agreed nobody will be getting involved, unbelievable the west thinks Putin will agree any ceasefire, he’s made a cunt of Trump and the western leaders

To be fair, one of them is 100% correct.

never gona happen, europe and the states will admonish him and that's about it,the size of our milatary I reckon we would last about a month and I couldn't see people rushing to sign up to fight someone else's war,as for america as long as europe are buying weapons to gift to ukraine the yanks will be happy for it to drag on as that means more profit for them

It’s interesting that one poster says NATO would crush Russia like grapes and another thinks we wouldn’t last a month. That’s a big swing

I don't think we would we gont have enough troops to fill Wembley and russia and ukraine seem to be burning there way through meatsacks, and seems as ukraine are fighting using the tactics we would be using and the same sort of weapons we use what makes you think us,Germany France or Poland would fair any better, the reason I mention those 4 country's is because let's be honest outside of those four most other country's ain't known for being able to fight, hou also have to think about russia do not care about loss of life whereas our politicians in the west would get very uncomftable if we started losing troops at the same rate russia and ukraine are,and I really can't see people signing up to fight and as for conscription I reakon most leaders would get the big middle finger from there populations

I’m not saying I agree or disagree with either extreme, I was just pointing out how extreme those two opinions are.

I don’t think any initial involvement would be troops on the ground. I think it would be airstrikes and shooting down Russian aircraft

Neither necessary. Hand over all the hardware to the Ukrainians as they’ve already been trained to use it.

It took a year to send a tank and two years to send a MIG, while Europe has over 600 euro fighter jets and 6700 tanks.

"This won’t stop until there are nato bombers over Russia. Time to make Moscow look like Mariupol. "

Sorry this is a ridiculous statement,if you know anything about Russian history the general public are usually as innocent as you and I, captive within their own country and fed lies and propaganda.

So killing innocent people in a tit for tat way isn't going to achieve anything other than playing right into Putin's hands.

He wants the return of the Russian empire and all the natural resources in Ukraine.

I can't remember a time in my life when Russia or the soviet union wasn't in some kind of turmoil and either fighting the outside world or themselves.

Putin has shown time and time again he cares nothing about human life even his own people are expendable,I really don't know what his end game is but I do know whatever happens it's going to end in bloodshed.

His end game is to control as much of the world as possible, starting with the former USSR states that are now independent and then who knows where first

I can't see Trump being in the slightest bothered, as it's presumably one of his family's businesse6.

Putin obviously has no intention of doing anything differently, as he's progressively getting ever more of what he wants. The charade is Alaska was just part of his amusement at Trump's expense. He's just toying with the little man.

I assume that Trump will continue, with little changes over the next couple of years.

Presumably some deal is coming over Ukraine in due course (maybe in months) which will give Russia much of what it already has. Ukraine was always destined to lose the war so it won’t be a surprising result.

It will be interesting to watch the UK and EU swivel from “Putin must be stopped here or he will invade the rest of Europe” to it being a great deal that has guaranteed peace for the West.

In reality this was only ever a minor border dispute between two Slavic countries of zero importance to Europe and certainly no importance to the US.

The Biden Crime Family wanted to get involved for its own reasons and dragged the stupid UK and EU along with it. Now yet again the impotent UK and EU are going to be left with egg on their faces as the “enemy” wins once more and the US pulls out.

Interestingly for all its pompous high minded posturing, the EU will have given more money to Russia in gas purchases since the war started than it has in aid to Ukraine.

The UK and EU have no money or stomach for any fight. Everybody knows this (apart from the UK and some countries in the EU).
