I shouldn’t worry too much.
You’ll just be spending your life in the slow lane worrying about where the next exorbitant public charger is.
You could probably spend a few thousand on an old petrol car and do the same and save yourself a pile of cash. |

"any bmw is a pile of crap ! along with audi whys that ?
over engineered to fail, expensive to fix,and always need fixing"
BMW are renowned for being the most expensive regular car to maintain and repair.
I'm not sure how good their warranty is but guaranteed it's not a patch on lexus/Toyota. |

If it was me I'd be going for a lexus or Hyundai. "
Dont go anywhere near an electric Lexus. Book range of around 175 miles you'll be lucky to get 90. If you have to go electric, the new Ioniq5N. My colleagues and I deliver hundreds of new and nearly new cars of every make every day. |

..and both appeal, for some reason, to the swanky lout market.
I feel slightly sorry for any non louts who drive them and get associated with the image. The swanky, I have no sympathy for! |

Its full of Chinese components and not as reliable as BMWs used to be. Have a bit of sense. Instead of buying a new X1, buy a really good second-hand fab car like a 911 or Bentley Continental: something amazing compared to the X! It won't depreciate as swiftly, and you'll have more fun not following the unimaginative BMW crowd. Think outside the box if you are spending 30-40 grand on a car. |

"Honestly who buys new these days? Can't be that many surely?
545,548 new car registrations in 2024 (304,000 in 2021). About half new registrations are company/fleet. " Wonder how many are motability cars? Mrs x |
