This should be great news.
Just imagine how much better off the world would be right now, if countries fought to stop disinformation, fueled by hostile foreign nations, being spread through social media in the early 2010's.
But since this news comes now, it's just more terrifying nonsense to add to the massive pile. |

I don't think most people have the foggest of the digital battleground that's happening out there where countries like China have literal buildings with thousands of employees spreading misinformation (Google apt1 China)
But a lot of advanced countries do the same, and with the advancements in AI it's only going to get worse.
While Iraq didn't have WMD, Iran where bragging about having enriched uranium which is the primary fuel for nuclear weapons
Not to mention they where building a nuclear planet inside a mountain kinda suggestions it was build there so it wouldn't be easily destroyed like a conventional plant.
And the war is done in Iran, they don't have anything left to fight with. All they have is what army they have left dedicated to the Islamic state and to route that out would mean boots on the ground which America would likely avoid due to lesson from Iraq so they are trying to get the local population to assume power or the current government falls in line else they lose all their electricity
America (while I disagree with the war in principle and American need to stop playing world police) has Iran by the balls
