"Is anyone watching this on BBC2 ? aren't our councils wonderful the waste is quite shocking.. "
The problem is that so many pencil pushers are employed that there are people in every region, sitting in town hall offices doing next to fuck all and getting paid for it.
It is the same in every part of the public sector, bureaucracy and red tape is costing this country a fortune, and it all comes out of the taxes we are forced to pay. |

Bureaucracy and pencil pushers are needed and always will and have been, but its where the bureaucracy lays and to what extent is the issue.
Basically it needs to be implemented strategically. |

It's the same all over the Western world, but here in Britain we have made an art of it, it's not about the number of people employed, it's about getting them to work EFFICIENTLY.....
Money wastage and small scale corruption in councils is wide spread, recently we had to have the Health and Safety Executive look over our warehouse and offices, they came on the same morning as the Fire Brigade were on their annual check of the place, that was a coincidence....at one point we had three...yes THREE HSE inspectors and TWO firefighters walking around, stopping for tea, and swapping stories in our car park.
Britain wastes billions with all this crap. |

Surely the big scandal was private companies being paid huge sums of money to tell them how to save money? PWC, Serco and Capita and G4S are the vultures who feed off the public sector like seagulls on a tip.
Btw who are their directors? Yes former MPs. |

It's was a good programs but didn't really tell us anything new.
All public bodies spend unwisely in the same way the private sector give huge amounts to shareholders who are in effect the pension funds for the public sector workers ... It's all the same money that just washes around in different ways. |
