Is Britain going down the same path as the USA, where right-wing extremists have overtaken Islamic extremists as the ones most likely to slaughter innocent individuals?
Another white supremacist in the UK detained for an act of terrorism. Ethan Stables detained without limit of time for plotting to slaughter a Pride event at Barrow in Furness.
I am detecting a change in the UK's security posture, with the right-wing extremists now getting as much scrutiny from the security services as the Islamic ones.

Yes it is - my reason for saying this - my 6yr old grandson being called a ni**er in the school playground last week! Kid obviously has parents saying racist things at home. |

I do not think political extremism has overtaken religious extremism. the 2 are different sides of the same coin and homegrown extremism has always been more of a threat than imported extremism. Only we focus more on external threats than internal ones. After all it is easier to mobilise hatred against Johnny Foreigner.
My opinion, nothing more. |

But do you know who was doing the name calling though? My 8 year old nephew in a London school has been called, ni**er, d*rk*y, and been told to "wash his face" in a derogatory way on several occasions. Every time, it has been Asian boys doing the name calling and despite several complaints by my daughter, nothing has ever been done. |

racial hatred isn't exclusive to white people.
hatred is at the root of all this.
what happens to people growing up that they become consumed by hatred as adults.
I suspect its loathing of their self, for whatever reason, projected onto others as a coping strategy |

I would take issue with you.
It is my belief that racism and bigotry is a taught condition. I believe the reality is we learn these prejudices at the feet of our family in our formative years and that the reality is only those who are exposed to other cultures after receiving a good education have the tools to overcome that early life conditioning. |

Here we go again more racial abuse
Take a look at yourself raciest comments and abuse is the lowest of the low
People need to take a hard look at them selves
For even discussing it the hard right are to blame |

Yes.
I will add that as far as I know these gangs are for the most part from Pakistan and the tribal areas in particular where any female without a male chaperone (guard) is seen as fair game.
And I find it particularly offensive that you would conflate people from a single area of a continent with everyone from that continent. However I have to admit that it seems to be a trick used by Gammon all the time. Maybe it will not change until the other races start blaming whites in general for any wrong committed by any single group of whites... |

"It’s the papers and news channels reporting them as Asian as they arnt all Pakistani "
I thought the majority of the men convicted in the Rotherham case were British of Pakistani/Asian origin...but I could be wrong.

"My point being they were British.
Not Asian, not Pakistani, not from a tribal area."
But their families were and they learned their attitudes towards women in their homes from their families. Which was my point. |

You also made the point that you found it particularly offensive that _oxychick35 "would conflate people from a single area of a continent (Pakistan) with everyone from that continent (Asia)", yet you had done exactly the same by saying the gangs were for the most part from Pakistan when in fact they were British born.
Do you have a different cured meat moniker for a person who would conflate people from one country with everyone from another country? Or does the Gammon label apply in this case too?
As for your point that they learned their attitudes towards women in their homes from their families, the victims were not women they were children.
This description is taken from the report commissioned by Rotherham council:
"children who had been doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, threatened with guns, made to witness brutally violent r@pes and threatened they would be next if they told anyone".
Is this "fair game"?
Did they learn that from their families too? |

Some of the hated has been fostered by politicians, who should never be forgiven. There are obviously many levels of hatred, with extremism being the most potentially harmful - but an endemic culture of lower order hate is highly damaging. Where it's common for disabled, minorities and others going about their lawful business but subjected to malicious hate from others, after being stoked by political speech, campaigns and moronic zealots, shows a seriously deficient culture and morally bankrupt leadership. The natives, ultra right-wingers who cocoon themselves in this toxic contempt for their country and citizens are more harmful than the smaller numbers of those who distort religious beliefs. |

God bless America.
White Christian carrying assault rifle good.
Most likley a hunter or upstanding citizen exercising his right to protect his family.
Black/brown/mixed race carrying assault rifle (shoot first, ask questions later).
Probably a Muslim terrorists or gang banger.

The funny (or devastating) thing is that (all over the world) Left wing extremists have killed more people than right wing extremists (or anyone else for that matter) by order of magnitude. If you want examples then look at The Mao regime dynasty in China, even today's communist China and other communist regimes from the past like the USSR. |

Not all the girls were white so it couldn't have been racially motivated. All the girls were vulnerable. That is why they were preyed upon.
Race/ethnicity was a factor in the failure to address the abuse.
Firstly, fear that the perpetrators' ethnicity would trigger allegations of racism and damage community relations.
Secondly, the Labour council's reluctance to challenge a Labour-voting ethnic minority.
It wasn't solely males involved in the abuse. A female was convicted too. |

So out of the thousands of young girls that were abused how many were not white then ? And the girl that was convicted was used by a gang to find girls she was vunrebal aswell the police and courts see them as race crimes now |

Do you have links to where it says the police and courts see these as race crimes?
It's been reported that before they were selling girls for sex some of the men were selling drugs. If they were selling drugs to white males is that a racially motivated crime? |

I always find it slightly bemusing the way that people act as if the abuse of young girls is a trait unique to particular cultures.
Clearly they haven't visited Thailand or Cambodia lately...
As someone else in the thread pointed out - if you want to address the correct demographic responsible for carrying out most of the sexually-motivated assaults in this country - the demographic that has infiltrated every echelon in society from the government, down through the judiciary and police forces and across the media, who cover up and ignore the prevalence of this phenomenon and have created a culture in which any attempts to point this out are met with a backlash and rage, derision and threats...
It ain't the people with brown skin you wanna be looking at, it's the ones with a cock and balls between their legs... |

" .
Do you want my honest opinion?.
Contextually from history, things have always turned bad when there was huge differences between the average and the wealthy, we see today that this is worse than anytime since the Roman empire, there's also this disparity between Tommy Robinson and "the far right" I mean I don't really think he is but the state is doing it's damnedest to ensure he becomes it.
The edl only existed because the state failed to act on the Muslim extremists and frankly the state is afraid to look racist, despite being racist, they won't act against Muslim grooming or extremists for fear.
Quite happy to rummage thru Tommy Robinsons mortgages and background but not willing to that originally to anjem Choudhury which would have stopped all this before it got bad.
However we are where we are, it's going to get alot worse in the next ten years, the left are turning into Bolsheviks and the right are turning into Nazis, history is repeating itself thanks to this austerity for the many and socialism for the few (I said on this forum in 2010 that the effects of the banking bailouts will not be seen for ten years).
Well here we are.
Nothing I or you say on here is going to change history, were heading for a civil war, it's that simple, if I were of anything but white decent or even Eastern European I'd seriously be looking to move within 18 months!
That's a warning from history |

Austerity breeds extremism and xenophobia where those who are perceived as 'strong' nationalists (usually autocrats) are given power. Wresting power away from them is usually an extremely violent process. |

You've got to point out why you think an individual involved in school shooting is "right wing".
I mean there's little to no evidence that they are, it's just an assumption that somebody white killing somebody in school is right wing isn't it? |

No. Theres social media thats there for all to see. Police will obviously be investigating motives because they have to be sure that theres not a second attack coming so its well known who they are, who they associated with and what their beliefs were. |

It's not the point. Being a killer may have motive related to politics. But in the end it's breaking the law. Two wrongs do not justify a right. No pun intended. |
