These payments are partially responsible for our great economic results. The 10% will go up to 25% on Friday. 325 Billions Dollars.... 2) of additional goods sent to us by China remain untaxed, but will be shortly, at a rate of 25%. The Tariffs paid to the USA have had little impact on product cost, mostly borne by China. The Trade Deal with China continues, but too slowly, as they attempt to renegotiate. No! “
How is it possible for the President of the United States to lie so brazenly in an attempt to score political points? This is not even close to being remotely true and is in fact the very essence of a 100% made up lie. |

But what they understand is when product prices rise which is the case as the end-user is paying the bill for the tariffs and not China (which most studies have proven). |

But what they understand is when product prices rise which is the case as the end-user is paying the bill for the tariffs and not China (which most studies have proven). "

Obviously the end user pays the cost, that is true of everything, tariffs do have a place where there used to protect certain industries from unfair advantage but even then only used for a limited time.
Personally I'm no fan of blanket applied tariff free trade either, it's a race to the bottom under that philosophy. |

I like selected, low as can be, tariff applied trade, you can use it wisely to give both your citizens the cheapest cost goods possible and allow your businesses not to be undermined from shortermism.
From Americans point of view it's no good having ridiculously cheap products shipped in from China without a job to pay for them.
As a side point I'd have thought all your green voters would have been delighted with his moves, the less trade shipped from China to the us and vice versa the less c02.

Theres a cost basis to everything, we didn't have free university here ten years ago, it was trebled under the lib Dem/conservative coalition.
We did have free university places 40 years ago when only 5% of the population went to university but you might struggle with that policy when you increase the percentage up to 35%.
Healthcare isn't free in the Western world we pay alot of taxes for it, however America is a broken healthcare system, it's neither free market or socialized.
By free I was actually talking about AOC s policy on giving people jobs or money depending on what they prefer or Kamala Harris who's all in favour of taking money from rich people (white) and giving to black people (poor) ie reparations, despite lots of black people being rich and lots of white people being poor.
So you can play to your base all day long, I watch young Turks all the time, Jesus those fucktards don't miss a trick on playing to base and sadly some people yourself maybe included suck it up. |

Its disingenuous to assume I've never used the NHS, of course I have but then I've also paid large amounts of tax to do so, our current NHS bill is around the 100 billon Mark a year.
AOC ain't playing to people who pay taxes, she playing to people who don't pay taxes or at least people who pay minimal taxes, vote for me and I'll give you something for nothing, it's a tried and tested policy for idiots.
So let's not pretend trump is anything different than the democrats, there both playing to their base supporters you just object to one and I object to the other, the lefts natural reaction is that I am less moral than thou so therefore my opinion counts for less.

Just for clarity no other individual in the whole of the United States posted a greater loss over the same period.

Trump is a 'tunnel vision' type. Whilst he's arm wrestling China over a few billion dollars, they - as is their habit - are thinking long term and starting to shape a world in which the USA will have to like it or lump it.
That's going to be tough for Americans - they think they're exceptional and can't comprehend a future where they are 'just another country'; but it will happen. All it needs is enough time. |
