I cannot shake off the parallels between Star Wars and Brexit, Boris Johnson is Emperor Palpatine, the ex supreme chancellor, and Michale gove is dearth Vader , who practiced the dark side of the force. Jeremy Corbyn is Obi Wan Kenobi, the rebel alliance has found the plans for Death Star, aka no deal brexit, the weakness is a small exhaust port only two metres wide, e.g. a parliamentary motion to stop no deal and Luke skywalker aka Rory Stewart is channelling the force to destroy no deal brexit.
Just when you think the Death Star is about to destroy yavin 4 e.g the UK then all of a sudden just as it’s about to be unleashed then the Death Star explodes and then the rebels win, but it’s short lived as the empire strikes back, with emperor boris and Darth Gove Hunting the rebels down they destroy the base on hoth and the rebels escape, then Rory skywalker has to dagobar to see yoda Clarke to learn the ways of Jedi, the light side of the force.
Meanwhile the rebels go to bespin eg Scotland and are betrayed by Nicola sturgeon aka lando carlrissian who bemoans that the deal cannot get any worse, eg they are promised independence. Then Rory skywalker has to travel to bespin to have a showdown darth gove. Who cuts him down with arguments until he retreats whilst the rebels. Moving along to return of the Jedi aka return of the remainers, emperor boris has created another no deal brexstar which is nearly built, the rebels launch an all out assault, but the brexstar is full operational and starts destroying the rebel fleet but Han and his team aka jo Swinson and the Lib Dem’s destroy the shield on the brexstar, inside the brexstar Rory skywalker is being seduced by emperor boris to join the dark side of the conservatives, he dispatches darth gove, who Rory feels still has good inside him, then the emperor attacks Rory, something inside gove stirs when the evil emperor attacks Rory, and gove now takes his chance to destroy the emperor and chucks him down a chasm, but due to his association with brexit is damaged and cannot continue, Rory escapes, and the rebels in the millennium falcon led by lando sturgeon destroy the brexstar, as the end the whole of the UK rejoice with the fall of the evil brexit empire. The end.
Well considering this is the drama of brexit, I am not surprised they have lifted plot of Star Wars also. |
