I've got crates of CDs as well as tons of vinyl.

I can't bear to part with them however its nothing that can't be streamed or downloaded so there is no actual requirement for me to keep them.

Whenever we release a single or an album instead of CDs we promote vinyl and it comes with free download.

I don’t buy CDs very often these days but there are still a few bands going about whose albums I’ll always buy on CD when they drop.

I've a shelf full of CDs but they're just collecting dust nowadays.

I just Bluetooth to my car stereo nowadays, as everything I want I can get through Amazon music

Yep cross dresser thread.

Not buying cds but records with our youngest.

Trawling through the tat shops is not what I’d call fun but he loves it.

Yup, got loads of CDs; mostly for playing in the car which are stored in the passenger visor wallet.

Have a music system at home that plays CDs and cassettes (which I have) But use Spotify to stream music to Bluetooth headphones.

I still have most of my vinyl/cassettes/CD's for this reason.

Some of them are limited editions and rarities so could be worth a few bob in years to come.

I buy CDs in charity shops mostly ( last year I got about 40/50 at 4 for a pound n they were classic soul/indie/hip hop/jazz/rock... almost brand new, just in one swoop..ah musta got about 100/20 odd all in in that one shop)...ah used to have loads n loadsa of vinyl but ma itinerant ramblings over the year have served only to sever me from their warm anologue crackles n murmers ...sad considering the mind splintering prices some of them fetch in that now fetishised format...n yeah painted pinky in the air, ah did think it was a cross dress thread haha x

The trouble is the weight and floor loading space i have.

I used to DJ back in the 90s so have accumulated thousands of records.

The majority are stored at my parents as they have space, as keeping them in the garage is a big no no as they react badly to temperature variance.

Still prefer cd and vinyl, the sound is better but you need an old style system to get the best sound

As much as I would like a full audiophile set up, investing in a decent set of headphones has been the best option so far.

We moved house a couple of years back and took all our CDs and DVDs to CEX. Got quite a few bottles of Rum with the proceeds of that trip.

I love a rumage in the charity shops for Cds for my car.

It's not modern enough to hook up to my phone

Get a Bluetooth receiver / transmitter that plugs in to your cigarette lighter and you can play the music on your phone through your stereo

They cost less than a tenner

Although it is not the same as rummaging in a charity shop

I have one of those 90s 8 Cd disk changers in my boot so I like the retro feel
