Can’t even get messages read

What do I need I change? I know my profile has been here for a while with 0 verifications but I haven’t used it all that much till now. Noticed so many of my messages don’t even get opened. I know the women on here get inundated with messages but would love some advice on where I’m going wrong. As someone who is naturally shy till I get to know someone it isn’t tha easy to “sell myself”

I , and many others, will look at a profile before I open any message. If the profile doesn't appeal then the message will be very unlikely to be read.

In addition to the above - saying you’ve “forgotten” you had a profile says you’re not really invested or committed to this site. Why would anyone else bother with you?
